Censored the game for no reason, years after it came out.

The only reason I got it was because the game had sexy girls, decent fighting mechanics and a cool art style.

Stop catering to the perpetually offended.

Don't buy this game.

I mean, what do I say? It's more River City Girls.

The combat has been improved, adding more options for combos and strings of attacks.

There's more playable characters, so not only can you play 4 player this time around, but you can ALSO play as 6 characters total! Including Legendary Abs. 🤤

A few Quality of Life improvements have been made as well, specifically in co-op mode. Now only ONE player needs to purchase an accessory, and it's available to everyone (well, at least in couch co-op). It's great not having to wait and grind so both of us can have an item we want, IO can only see this issue getting exacerbated in 4 player. But NO LONGER! Now, you want an accessory? Only one player needs to purchase it, then everyone can use it simultaneously.

One thing I'll note though that might have been an oversight. The ability for both players to open their phone menu at the same time is gone. Now only one player at a time can open their phone to equip accessories/check objectives, and that's a bit annoying.

Also, platforming. Holy cow. it sucks. Like, this game is not a platformer, but there's a lot of painful platforming segments. The controls are clunky for precise movements like that, so I think they need to come up with a better system for the 3rd installment.

Overall, a big improvement on the first game in a lot of ways. It's not perfect, but they've got a lot of content here, and it's such a unique experience, you can tell everyone involved put their heart into it.

Love it. Nothing beats the atmosphere and the music either! Big Recommend.

I mean, it's Bae-onetta. Literally one of the best hack'n'slash games out there. Sexy ladies, cool monsters, cooler weapons, big damage.

If you like DMC, or anything of the sort, you'll love Bayonetta and her sick dance moves ;)

I'm in love with the world, the characters, the atmosphere, the shooty shoot bop. It's all great. I've had a small amount of bugs and issues, but they haven't impeded me as of yet, though performance is a bit of a mixed bag, even on my 3080 with an i7 6700k.

Buuut as far as the NPCs and AI goes, definitely sub, sub par. Police are straight up broken, and vehicles have no AI, they just drive set paths, and stop if that pathing is interrupted.

All in all, I'm loving the game, but CDPR does have some stuff to iron out, which I'm fully confident they'll do.

Alright, so I bought this game for the sole purpose of supporting ATLUS, and any PC games they release now, to increase the potential for the future! (Dragon's Crown, Catherine FB, Persona 5 Royal!?). I already own this game on vita, and still have the original on ps2.

I'm currently playing through this game on my Vita, at about the 30 hour mark so far, and my god is it amazing. The characters, the atmosphere, the time management, the combat, the anime cutscenes, the English voice acting... I could go on about how fantastic this game is, but honestly I'd be beating a dead horse. This game is 8 years old, with the original being 12 years old and it's fantastic-ality is well documented.

In my opinion the quintessential way to experience this game is via handheld, but if you've never played Persona 4 or Golden, and love JRPG's and good games... Well pick this game up. It's super cheap, and it's incredible. And hey, supporting ATLUS means potential future ATLUS ports to our pcmr.

---------------------

Sidenote! I do NOT support Denuvo. Denvuo is a cancer on this industry, and forcing such obtrusive DRM to a port of an 8 year old port of a 12 year old game is ludicrous. I usually don't buy Denuvo games... But given the choice between supporting ATLUS games and boycotting Denuvo games, ATLUS wins. But I'm pretty chapped about the Denuvo, and hopefully the devs remove it swiftly.

It does not prevent piracy, it does nothing but hamper the paying consumer. As, when it gets cracked, and it will, then the paying consumer is the one who's screwed when (not if) Denuvo's support drops in the coming years. Not allowing us to play the games that we've paid for.

Also, I like playing my games when the internet is out. Period.

Early Access Review
It's SUPERGIANT. Sure, the epic store exclusivity was garb. And any dev that takes that deal is garb.

But look; the game is fantastic. It's basically in a complete state, and keeps getting updated ala it's "early access" status, so it just feels like you're getting a bunch of free extra content.

The weapons are fun, some runs can be trash because of bad RNG, but that's any roguelike. Progression is palpable, being able to upgrade and unlock weapons that persist between runs, and during runs the upgrades and "boons" make you feel stronger and meaningfully impact your progression through the dungeons.

The enemies are varied and fun to fight repeatedly. Boss battles can be tricky, and ultimately the core gameplay loop is a lot of fun. You'll have no issue running again and again just to see if maybe you'll get that warhammer again.

Also, my god the characters, the visuals, the style... This game oozes style. Jen Zee is something else. Her artwork is just fuggin cool and sexy.

It's like Dark Souls, but with anime titties. You take these 2 great things, pair it with a pretty fantastic character creator (that's lacking in the clothing dept. tbh), and you've got a solid hack/slash action adventure RPG with great visual style, edgy hot topic aesthetic and lots and lots of blood.

I give it 2 good times out of 1.
