10/10 - I have less than an hour in this but it lets you buy deodorant spray and absolutely BLAST stank booty nerds. Dumped an entire can on the first funky b*st*rd I saw.

Dear lord, Paul Walker was so young!

Oh, now that the movie is over I guess I'll play the rest of the game.

I have 19 minutes played at time of review.

I opened the game > Went to adjust volume > The voice volume has samples of characters talking

They recorded around 20 minutes of characters just talking about adjusting the volume. This is peak game design. I have not played ANY of this game yet.

TL;DR - GREAT story, Fun gameplay. Paid about $30 on sale and my opinion is that it's worth that.

I am a casual fighting game player who does not play multiplayer online. At most I will play local with some buddies for fun.
Before buying MK1 in the 2024 Steam Summer Sale I went and finished MK11's DLC story, Aftermath. From there I moved directly to this. Story is 100% Komplete at 7.5 hours at time of review.

Story : 10/10 - An absolute fun time and well written. Cut scenes are lengthy and this feels like a movie that pauses from time to time so you can have a fight and that worked so well for me personally. It really clicked well with my short attention span. I would watch a TV series of this story. Bit of a spoiler but while this IS a reboot it also isn't. It is a unique spin on a reboot and I love it.

Gameplay : 7/10 - Got used to MK11's controls so the small changes to things like the boosted moves threw me off a bit. That timing for it is TIGHT now. No more starting a move and boosting in part way through. You have to commit to it. It makes more sense honestly but as a casual player it messed me up a little lol. Kameos are a neat addition that takes some getting used to before I was fully utilizing them.

I really want to see a full 4-6 hour story that I can beat in a day or two (and doesn't over stay it's welcome) that I can buy for $20 USD please.

I have 100%'ed it and now I wait for DLC that adds more stuff to do

Service agreement was changed AFTER I made my purchase. I no longer have access to this game. Requesting a refund as I have seen players with 100+ hours get a refund for this game.

This is another game that I want to rate a maybe.
It has a lot going for it and it is kind of fun, but I can not get over the style choice. I adjusted the settings like you wouldn't believe but I never could get over feeling like I couldn't see what was going on. This artificial poor eye sight style just isn't for me. If you can get past the style then it's a fun game but seems like it would get repetitive super quickly.

Keep making games because you clearly have something going on over there!
