General Gameplay

This is a 2d game in which you take a ship and crew and try and reach the final sector on a map. You can upgrade your ship from scrap that you collect, or buy stuff from randomly placed stores on the map.

This game was released a finished state and comes complete with not only the original game but also an enhanced version. You can switch between the two versions on the menu.

Graphics 7/10

For the genre of the game the graphics are average.

Sounds and Music 9/10

Although some may not appreciate the genre of the music , it is definitely unique and fits the game well.

Gameplay is slightliy above average for its genre.

You migiht want to have a decent amount of spare time when you play this game because it is highly addicting.

Price: Fair at the time of posting.

Bugs and Execution: There are no bugs. It runs flawlessly on windows 7 , and XP.

Overall : This is a good game.

Although first impressions make it appear that it would be

a fun game but I have to say that this game is a piece of

garbage. It is so full of bugs that you will be lucky to

even get it going long enough to play for a few minutes.

Anyway lets move on to the other parts of the game (if you

can get it running).

condition or state any kind of rating at all.

Graphics 1/10

Did someone say windows 3.1 or below ?? I would gladly

post some screenshots but when you hit the F-12 button the

software is so buggy that it crashes to the desktop. No I

am not impressed at all with this kind of graphics.

This is an area that is bare.

How fun do you think it is when the game is so buggy that

it won't even start correctly? Sorry a big 0 on this one.

Price: No.

Bugs and Execution: Call the pest control at once. This game has so many bugs in it that you will need an entire team.

Overall : This game is buggy, unfinished and appears abandonned. How in the world this game got good reviews is really beyond me as it is one step away from being solid vaporware.

Hyperbol is a truly awesome unique game. It has a tutorial which you can play in offline mode or you can join players online.

Gameplay is awesome. Always something interesting and it is enough that you will be enjoying it for months to come.

Have a lot of spare time because it is fun and somewhat addicting.


Price: I have over 750 hours online with this game so I have to say that the price is definintely good for the amount of fun that you will be getting out of the game.

Bugs and Execution: Occassionally server connection time outs but the game it self has no bugs and runs flawlessly on XP , and windows 7. (I have not tested it on windows 8 or 8.1)

Overall : This game is awesome and worth the price. Take the tutorial and practice a little in offline mode before jumping into action with real players.

Graphics for this genre are very satisfying , and unique. Therefore I give it a 9. Not because its the most spectacular I have ever seen but because for its genre it has substantially more than is required.

Sounds and Music 8/10

The music and sounds on the game are above average for its genre.

Gameplay 9/10

The game has many levels in the adventure mode for you to play.

One of the reasons why I do not like ot put this game on my pc is because it is so addicting that I don't want to quit playing once I start. Hence a 9.

Price/value: You will definitely get your money's worth on this one.

Bugs and Execution: None. Runs flawlessly on windows XP, Vista and windows 7. The only problem I have experienced is that steam screenshots do not work. You will have to make them manually using the shift+printscreen button and paste to a bitmap for editing if you wish to make screenshots of your high scores (see my artwork for an example)

Overall : This game is a classic in its genre.

This game is very old but is now on steam. Therefore I give support for this product a 10 because the developers never stopped supporting it.

Oh yes!! This game is awesomely fun to play.

Price: Worth every penny I paid for it!

Bugs and Execution: There are a few bugs in the swamp area so save often when you get there. Other than that the game executes fairly nice. It is also compatible with win7 if you ahve installed DX9.


Overall : This game is a classic action rpg dungeon crawler.

Today I thought I would write a somewhat higher quality review for this game.
Gameplay is utterly horrible. The interface is very clunky and you will be lucky if you actualy do get a base up to specs.
To begin with the game is so full of game killing bugs that 9 out of 11 games I played were ended NOT because of a disaster, but because of a major game killing bug. I even had to restart the game 6 times in a row one time just because there was a bug that was killing it shortly after launching..

Moving on we now go to the general aspects of the game itself:

I can not give a game in this condition or state any kind of rating at all. Moving on, the devs are not freindly at all and have banned people for expressing their opinions that the game was a piece of vaporware. You can take a look at the discussion forums for yourself on this and get a good idea of just how much censorship that is going on and make up your own minds on this .

Graphics 5/10

I am really not impressed with the graphics. They are not impressive at all and were somewhat below average.

Sounds and Music 1/10

This is an area that is bare bones. Obvioiusly this area of the game also did not get fnished. What little music and sounds that there are annoying as it is repetitous.

Gameplay 1/10

I tried. No really I tried and I got 1 decent game out of 30+ hours which yielded constant frustration from game killing bugs. So I give gameplay a 1 because it was fun until the game was killed by a bug.

What time I did play that was not killed by a game killing bug was fun so I give it a 2 in this area.


Price: due to the bugs, unfinished state, and unfrinedly devs it is my opinion that this is one game that definitely NOT worth more than a few pennies.

Bugs and Execution: The interface sucks, the game is full of game crushing bugs.

As you can see make sure you have a lot of spare time when you play this game because it is not only addicting but is fun.

Oh yes,.... This is well worth what I paid. Very Nice!!! Plays very much like master of orion so if you are a fan of the series then you might want to give this one a try.

DO NOT buy this game !!!! its utterly terrible for what you pay
