One of the most original games I've played in a while, on every aspect - story, design and "gameplay". This is one of these games, which are changing your point of view and feelings about storytelling and narration diagrams of whole industry.

Overview: Definitely not what it looks like in the beginning. From the start of the game and the appearance on the store menu It comes off as something cutesy and something with not a lot of substance, games like this normally wouldn’t appeal to me as I don’t really care for chat sims ( or text based games) as they don’t contain much character development as well as story development. However, Without spoiling anything, Doki Doki Literature Club! Manages to surprise new players with innovative ways of story-telling in a way that can compel even people who have no interest in visual novels. DDLC is a very pleasant surprise in many ways that'll leave you feeling empty for a good while once you complete it.( If you ever want to expand your DDLC adventure beyond the base game, check out the very healthy modding scene!) Everything from different perspectives to continuations or even prequels.

Who knew a VN this good could spawn so much creativity among people?

You start off as a character (first person) of which you choose the name for. And then you meet your first NPC, ‘Sayori’. This is the start of the game from then on you will be sent on a spiral of odd and unpredictable scenarios that definitely aren’t all that cutesy.

The game is based around the butterfly effect, so choices matter.

Around 4 hours in, you are handed a poem of which consists of your usual literature poem, however at the end of the poem it states ‘ Load me’. Now this can be taken seriously or as a joke. If you look at it as a joke then whatever you won’t see the future events coming but if you look at it serious then you will notice it’s the NPC ‘Monika’ breaking the ‘4th wall’ and saying load me. – This is how this game isn’t just your usual VN, instead it’s much, much more of a psychological train ride.

Play through: The game is based around four girls (NPC’S) of which are named Monika, Sayori, Yuri And Natsuki. It’s a psychological thriller, but comes off at the start as your usual cutesy VN.
It consists of about 6 hours of gameplay, with various different endings depending on what you do. Your choices matter as well as what you do to the files of the game, will change the game in a whole.

Audience: The audience for this one can alter throughout, many players will be thrown off by the start and many will be thrown off by the end, however I personally enjoyed both parts of the game. From the innocent part to the thriller part. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like VN’s as this is different from the others. It differs to cater to a certain audience that enjoys the psychological side of games.

Conclusion: DDLC, is more of an adventure than a game. It takes you on a train ride of madness and messes with your psyche as a whole. It wants to be a cutesy game but it can’t. Its short but sweet, one of my all-time favourites.

My personal favourite game, it implements slow paced FPS based game mechanics in a fast paced environment. This makes the game all the more better.

Overview: ‘The tactical demands Siege puts on players is unlike anything else on the market today, and may prove enough for those seeking this flavour of first-person shooter. However, Siege doesn’t do enough to unite players who understand the importance of communication or provide variation in rest of the package.’
It holds a tactical depth, i.e most of the time you cant just run straight in to the objective and win. As there will more than likely be someone roaming or something in your way such as traps etc… So you need to think about what you do carefully.

The game itself – Is an ONLINE FPS based around defending and attacking a certain objective (hostage, which is defending the hostage in a certain environment of which you’re defending them from the attacking team; The next one is bomb of which theirs a bomb placed in a certain environment and the defending team have to prevent the attacking team from planting a diffuser for the bomb. And the final mode is a defend area / objective type of game mode, in which the defending team has to keep the attackers out.)

The only problem with this game… Is the community, everyone within it thinks they’re professional players so their ego is huge. This whole situation leads to a very ‘toxic’ community. However its not like the developers aren’t trying to prevent this side of the community (the dark side). They’re implementing various game mechanics such as suspensions etc, if you are persistent with toxic behaviour.

Audience – This game is catered to the casual gamers as well as professional or people who want to go pro players.

Its very mechanic based, of which you need a lot of time, so the casual players will most likely stick to the casual playlist (there are four different playlists. Newcomer, Ranked, Casual and Unranked) as it doesn’t require much skill to pull off a kill or two in casual.

Conclusion: This online FPS is very tactical based and well balanced on the mechanics to skill ratio, so what they’re going for is not game time but practise and adapting yourself to become better at the game. The audience is targeted at the older generation from 18 onwards not just because its an 18+ but also because it holds a very tactical based side.

EDIT: I am now depressed Lonely and have nightmares about blackbeard when i try to sleep at night. Please dont play this game.
