This is just a review of the campaign, and only my take on the first hour of it because I didn't want to play any more of it after that. Absurdly long load times and my computer is by no means a slouch, especially for a game that came out in 2017 I would think. Then I waited what felt like an hour to even start taking control and doing anything in the game. The health pack system they used just made the game feel like it slowed down to a snails crawl. Stopping to go udner cover to use a health pack is just so...so fun...I'd even prefer the original CoD's healthpack system and you can see how fast CoD2 replaced that. And then QUICKTIME EVENTS. I. Do not. Want those. In COD. I want to shoot the guns and have the funs. Not die because I didn't immediately figure out to move my mouse cursor over and hit an arbitrarily random key on my keyboard in less than one second. At least make it just press a single button once and not MASH IT (which doesn't even work sometimes. Is this a rhythm game too???)

As someone who's played COD2 all the way back in the day, just find a way to play that game instead. Worst you'll have to do is sit back for three seconds to heal and call a mortar strike or something. No begging your friend for health packs after every other shootout you have. I understand the healthpack thing is a fun idea for multiplayer, but for the campaign I was just bored. Obviously this game is rather old at this point so I'm sure no one will even see this review but good lord. I have never stopped playing a COD game before even seeing the second campaign mission before. The game also tends to seize and cause audio issues if you even attempt to alt+tab.

Very fun yet difficult game on purpose to drive the story along. Tons of different ways to go about trying to get deeper and deeper into the game and you get rewards for trying out new things. Loads of fun!

I love the intense and hard fights that feel impossible to win when you start, but when you get used tot he game and go back feel much better. It has that lovely Dark Souls experience gaining feel with interesting new mechanics and speed.
