In its current state, I cannot recommend the game. Back in time, Diablo expansions included additional story and characters, which was fine. But now, in addition to purchasing the game for $50, they added a $40 Vessel of Hatred DLC that not only includes story and characters but also introduces new mechanics that cannot be accessed without the DLC. For example, you can't obtain runes, which makes my character significantly inferior to those who can access them. I understand that the company wants to make money selling the DLC and reward people who purchased it, but I do not agree with locking mechanics behind a $40 DLC.
