Very well written. Combat is fun and intuitive. Art's pretty good but the music is even better.

Early Access Review
This is a lot of fun, games like path of exile restrict certain item combinations because they'd be too strong.
This game feels very similar in the core proposition that its fun is built on combining items in interesting ways, but rather than turning off combinations that would be patently ludicrous, it RELISHES in it. You see two items that look like they would be completely insane if it let you stick them together but rather than prevent you from do that, it just sort of wiggles its eyebrows enticingly.

It doesn't have necromancy yet but the developer told me he's going to add it, and when I tried to figure out what's the limit in how far he's willing to go (because summoning is exactly the kind of mechanic where developers tend to hamstring it in the interest of balance) he explained that the entire point was to encourage you to make as crazy ♥♥♥♥ as possible.

Aside from the core principle of being the black tar heroine of ARPG builds, the music is for some reason phenomenal and carries the atmosphere all on its own.

If Necrovision were doom, this would be half life 1. Slightly less killy killy, but a lot more interaction with neutral and allied characters, no lame stuff like story or whatever, but there are interesting characters that you see around the campaign, some of them last through most of the game. Others say hello, fight through hell with you, then die offscreen without Zimmerman paying attention to them. What I liked best was that you got to have a lot of fights with allies, which built upon the cool WW1 theme.

However, unlike what is suggested, you don't play zimmerman during his evil psycho necromancy phase, you play him up until that point. So you don't get to be evil in this one.

Very fun! Tear gas, barbed wire, and germans galore, tight beautiful environments and very fast paced gameplay. Feels very hectic in a horrors-of-war kind of way and it blends very well with supernatural horror. Nails the evil germans buying the powers of the devil. It falls off the wagon near the end when it loses all the WW1 aesthetics, and instead turns into a satanic serious sam, but even if you don't think you'd like that it's still very fun.

You can be a necromancer!
