TL;DR Game used to be great. Not so anymore. (state on EU)

I played this game pretty frequently about a year ago. I wanted to rank up, get better, get together with a team. Then BRs surged in popularity, a lot of the playerbase migrated, including me, but not because I played BR games. The amount of smurfs and cheaters that show up in games is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥. The trust factor doesn't work at all, and even when you get in a team with non-smurfs or cheaters, they are mediocre-at-best players who probably don't communicate. Teaming up also doesn't change much, as you will still end up fighting cheaters and smurfs.

This is just why you shouldn't play based on the playerbase.

The mechanics have improved for sure, does that make them good? No way.
The Negev is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pisstake of a weapon. So is pretty much every other weapon besides the AK/M4, AWP and UMP. Every other weapon is a questionable buy and probably not worth your time anyways. The amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design is overwhelming for a 6 year old game.

Do yourself a favor: don't start playing this. And if you used to: don't return. It's not better.

It's GMod. Get it.
