It's been a while since I've actually enjoyed exploring a world.

I haven't had too many issues with the game. The only times that game has significantly stuttered for me was during the Tree Sentinel at the beginning. Also a few crashes after the new patches but wasn't enough to ruin my overall experience. I mainly played on an ultra-wide monitor so it has black bars on the side. It would have been nice if it supported ultra-wide but personally didn't bother me.

I decided to go Astrologer since the last time I played with magic was in Demon's Souls on PS3. For me it was a bit rough early-mid game because I went in blind, randomly going to places that interest me and dumping most of everything into int. So by the time I found the magic vendor or any useful spells I've played for over 30 hours and beaten Margit , Godrick Rennala , and Radahn mainly using a longsword and glintstone pebble.

The difficulty of the game really depends on you the player and how difficult you make it for yourself. Like for me I think I would have had an easier time if I had went with a melee build, didn't dump everything into int or if I had looked up spell and gear locations. If your a souls veteran it will definitely be a bit easier for so I would suggest trying a different build or play style. If you decide to go in blind, depending on how well you clear the map or get lucky in finding items can trivialize things. The summons also lower the difficulty in clearing bosses. You can also grind out levels before a boss. At the end of the day it's up to you on how you want to go through the game.

The boss fights have been very fun. With my build the early-mid bosses were more of a pain than the later bosses due to just getting more gear/spells and finally putting points into vigor. The way I built my character basically made it so I can't survive more than 1-2 hits depending on the bosses moves early on. I enjoyed learning their moves and messing with gear to increase my chances of survival. Radahn was a pain in the ass since most of his abilities just one shotted me.

The world is huge. I really liked the atmosphere and design of each location of the game. I wasn't expecting myself to aimlessly wander around. If you can see it you can most likely get there minus a few areas that are locked behind certain progression. Breath of the Wild was probably the last game that made me want to explore locations so it's been fun being able to do so again.

I can definitely recommend this to newer players as long as your willing to learn the game. There's a lot of freedom in the world and if you get stuck somewhere you can explore a different area. Your not bound to stay there unless you want to stubbornly beat something with what you currently have. Enjoy the game and explore while everything is still unknown to you on your first playthrough. It's not everyday a game won't hold your hand. Don't expect this to be like an interactive movie where the game wants to take you from point a to b.

This was rough to finish...

The story to me was bland and predictable. The pacing is really weird and the mood of each skit (press R1) bounces a lot. They give you 2-3 skits back to back and it makes the story telling awkward at times especially the character development. There is a lot of dialogue bloat where they like to beat you with the same idea over and over and over again in quick succession.

The gameplay is decent. It starts off slow, and gets better around the middle but eventually over stays it's welcome. Sure the combat feels more fluid but it's kind of a small upgrade in the general scope of things. The AI is still extremely dumb, the strategy system is too simple and it doesn't seem to work properly at times. For example if you have it set to like "if own hp is 50%, avoid enemy". Law seems to understand and completely stays away from the monsters, never attacking, and just dodges. Alphen on the other hand will keep on attacking until he dies. The ordering of the strategy doesn't seem to matter much either.

The bosses you face generally feel like your hitting a giant sack of potatoes. The first one was probably the more interesting one. The 2nd boss was just straight up bs with the one move that can instakill your whole party. The rest are just generic potatoes, but there's one boss that's small and is frustrating to land certain artes on. For whatever reason the game decides it wants to point the cone or certain slashing artes next to the boss completely hitting air.

The regions/dungeons look nice but they are mainly linear with generic corridors. Crafting and general gear upgrades are very straight forward. I just picked the weapon/armor with the better stats and didn't bother with the accessory. By the time I unlocked the better accessories I just stopped caring.

As you progress through the game the monsters are reused and gain a lot of hp. On top of that they added monsters that have boss like hp. I played the game on normal difficulty thinking I wouldn't have to deal with hp sponges but the later half of the game just becomes brain dead hp sponges. The last dungeon they specifically placed mobs with boss like hp to block paths so you are forced to fight. It seems like they are padding up the gameplay time. Eventually you'll come to the realization that it comes down to whether or not you have enough items to get you through the dungeon.

Kind of hard to recommend this game due to the story and the gameplay just couldn't carry it for me. If your a Tales fan your most likely going to buy it anyway. If your new and don't really watch anime or play a lot of jrpgs, the story might not be so predictable for you. It's not really one of those must play games that break new ground so I would wait for a discount if you want to try it.

(Just bought it to have it in my Steam library. I have 1k+ hrs on Uplay)

I love / hate this game.

Been playing since Beta on and off. Back then I thought this game was going to die. It had so many problems but the game itself had a lot of potential and felt great. I'm glad it's still alive 5 years later and still very fun and interesting.

Overall the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing until a new patch comes along and goodbye hit reg / audio.

I've played QueueAge since launch for about 4 months.

This game was definitely fun for a short while and had a lot of potential. Unfortunately they totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. From the beginning I was really skeptical with their founder bs, luckily I only paid $50 which I somewhat enjoyed during my 4 months but there was definitely a lot of frustration. Only reason I paid was to play with friends, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have bought founder.

The game is very unstable. New patches for this game when I was playing somehow made the graphics options really weird. At launch I was able to play at high, then a patch came and I had to go on low or my fps would just take a huge dump. Then a new patch came out and it became unplayable on low and I had to switch to very high to be able to play. They released the North continent with castle sieges and we only had 1 week of castle sieges before something messed up and it had to be canceled for about 3 weeks. The server would sometimes crash when we killed the Kraken and we would have to wait up to a few hours until it was back up.

There are a lot of hackers and gold farmers in this game. The economy is pretty bad and finding land is somewhat impossible with the land hackers and all the people who were there first. The best gear is obtained through crafting and you would have to pray to baby RNGesus. Buying good gear was super overpriced for most people who didn't buy gold. This game was a mess when I left and I doubt it got much better.

I personally can't recommend this game. It's a free install/uninstall but if you don't want to waste your time. Don't do it.

I've played this game since CBT and it's been awesome. It is a very fast paced action oriented MMO. To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the story as I played it like Monster Hunter. I enjoyed this game even without the story. The beginning can be very dull but it gets better later on. Having friends and guild members to mess around with in instances and raids definitely makes a difference. There won't be much players on lower level instances for the most part unless there's going to be a new character released. Expect to grind for materials for armor unless you have the cash to buy it.

Disclaimer: I haven't played the game too much after season 2 arrived

Pros:
- Unique and fun Characters
- Character skills are awesome
- Each Character has a choice between two weapon types
- Amazing visuals
- Combat is fluid and fast
- Very challenging (soloing instances, raids etc)
- There's a storyline
- Perverted camera at the end of each instance
- No more token system
- Spin to win (go play spear Lann, though you probably will get kicked from raids)

Cons:
- Gender locked (for those who have problems with this)
- Lag/DC out of an instance (I remember the servers lagged pretty hard and everyone was trying to crash it because it wasn't getting restarted)
- Grind fest
- Pay to win (can buy revives and instant potions to your advantage)
- Enhancing/Enchanting weapons may require you to spend real cash (not required though as it just increase the chances of success)
- You have to go through the cut scene on the boat every time :/
- Can't hide megaphone chat

If none of the cons bother you, check it out its an amazing game.
