It is basically Fallout 76 but without the fallout charm and just as many grubby microtransactions. Still some fun to be had though.

Would not recommend due to the lack of polish as it very much felt like I was playing a rough version of an unfinished game. Refunded.

Early Access Review
Janky but fun nonetheless; there are plenty of traps and base components to build for help defending against the nightly hordes. The map seems to be a decent size and will mostly be utilised during the day whilst you search and scavenge through forests, towns and cities for the resources to survive the night. A character creation menu is also available upon starting a new game with a few options to make the player character your own. It is probably best played with friends, but I played solo so I can't say how well it holds up in multiplayer. If you are on the fence then just grab a copy, indie devs always need every bit of support they can get!

My experience with The Last Stand: Aftermath has been pretty good so far with 70 hours of gameplay as of writing this review whilst also using a keyboard and mouse. The overworld map is a lot like FTL, you go in one direction through many randomly generated maps made up of different environments, they are set up with different tiers of difficulty so the further into the overworld you progress the harder the game will be due to mutated variants and increasingly larger hordes.
Also, be prepared to die a lot; every generated character (or 'volunteer', as the game calls them) has a death sentence in the form of a zed bite, so it is only a matter of time before you will join the dead. Fortunately, there is a levelling up system that affects all survivors in the form of knowledge points. Unfortunately, you will max it all out before the game ends, however, there are multiple systems to work through that help your volunteers push further than the last. You need to balance taking supplies for yourself in your current run that are actually useful to that volunteer, such as a stack of batteries or electronics found in a crate (batteries are used to open most locked crates, so don't waste them) and sending supplies back to the colony to use as currency in later runs after a volunteer dies. The supply currency can be used to buy new loadouts, one use weapons, and even restockable items that can be claimed from an armoury. Once you do max out your knowledge skill tree you can just use the knowledge points as currency with the mobile traders found scattered throughout the game; these mobile traders usually have a few weapons and other items that can be very useful to a volunteers immediate survival.
When you finally make it to the end of the map it kinda turns into a bonus round where you need to get to the end several times with multiple characters to truly finish the game; difficulty modifiers are enabled at this point allowing you to choose your poison and in return access unique rewards for each tier you manage complete. There were and are some bugs but overall The Last Stand: Aftermath is a pretty solid game, especially now that they released the first patch which fixed most problems I had with my run-throughs.

A PVPVE game focused on collecting bounties in the form of grotesque monstrosities using a combination of excellent audio and visual aesthetics to immerse the player. You have 60 minutes to gather clues to the location of the potential spawn point of up to two larger boss creatures randomly spawned around a fairly large map, all the while avoiding or fighting other players and various weaker, but varied, monstrosities. A large roster of bounty hunters, guns, equipment and perks help to keep the players invested in levelling up all the aforementioned to increase the odds of survival, however, a newbie with a basic revolver still has almost as much of a chance to take down a max level veteran in the right scenario; tactics, stealth and caution can all go a long way to surviving a match. If other players manage to escape with a bounty or you just don't want to lose your own hunter for whatever reason, you can always escape the map at any time from the various escape points around the edge of the maps and keep whatever experience or loot that was gathered in that time. If a player dies, they lose their hunter and receive half the experience and cash they had collected in the match. Death is not so bad though; players are encouraged to fill out their roster with new randomly generated hunters comprised of different perks/gear/health/skins based on their tier level, stockpile guns both purchased, looted from enemy players, or found in the maps, as well as specifically levelling up basic gear to get access to modded gear with various uses. If you enjoy battle royale games but felt like they are usually missing a PVE element, then you will probably enjoy Hunt: Showdown.

A very well made factory simulator that blends elements of supply & demand, survival and tower defence. Includes co-op/multiplayer and massive maps with various game modes. Hold back the ever-evolving hordes of Not-Zerg and keep that power supply running smoothly!

The best way I can think of to describe Terraria is as a 3D Minecraft, but it more than does its own thing too, full of quirky and colourful content that will keep you playing the game for years to come. Every couple of years they have released massive post-release content patches that have completely revamped the game, extending the already huge amount of content into the wonderful monstrosity it is today. If you enjoy building, gathering/defending NPCs, and even trying to keep them happy, then you will enjoy this. Also comes with mod support via the tModLoader, various customisations to both characters and gameplay, and easy to access multiplayer using steam servers with as many friends as desired (Max. 255). Very highly recommended!
