Democracy has prevailed once again Helldiver. Glory to Super Earth.

The game has an incredibly simplistic and boring game play loop with little variation. The dungeons are only challenging before you get mid game equipment.

I beat the final boss long before I assume I was intended to because I happened to pick the spear as my main weapon. The spear is incredibly powerful and easy to use with little risk.

The shop-keeping is not engaging and is extremely boring with a simple system that barely requires any planning or thought.

Real big brain devs ruining their entire game.

Quality Buy

The demo of the game was interesting. The mechanics on the other hand, not so much. TLDR Momentum is horrible, combat cannot be done without the dash, and the platforming is extremely unfun.

First off the momentum is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the game. At times by spamming slide and jump you can just gain a massive amount of momentum out of nowhere. This completely throws you off from all actions and actually allowed me to glitch into inaccessible areas of the map. This combined with how the enemy AI works it can make combat extremely frustrating as you may gain warp speed while sliding. The enemy AI aims flawlessly at any close range, this is solved by the dash which allows you to dodge bullets as the enemy fires them. But if you dash say just before the enemy fires it instantly snaps to you and hits you. Thus you can't go fast and you have to wait in slow motion for the enemy to fire so you don't get hit. The platforming is also not great mostly due to the weird momentum, but also due to the limitations of first person platforming.

While I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the original, it is still an incredible game. Not quite worth the money due to the current issues such as sound occasionally not working, but if its on sale, I would heavily recommend buying it.

Great game and one of my personal favorites. I always find time to play it. Just wish there was a few more updates.

Just outright incredible, too many things done well to explain, perfect game, instant buy.

The game overall is interesting but has an absolutely terrible camera. Fighting enemies is not fun as it rapidly devolves into spamming grenades or sitting in cover picking enemies off one at a time from 10 miles away. Its also extremely short and has a final level that serves as the pinnacle of how bad the combat is.
