It seems Steam doesn't give me any notification at all when I get a post on my profile |: I got a year ban, though I can still view the forums. I honestly prefer it that way. There really is a lot of information/recommendations/opinions/news on there that I need to see every once in a while. Yeah, I still have the lure of getting on and geting absorbed by reading posts for hours when I'm bored, but I've had no trouble so far. I think I've only looked there for like ten minutes total since the ban.
