HELLDIVERS!
I loved helldivers 1
Everything that made it special is back.
I love helldivers 2.
The Autocannon is one of the most fun guns in any game I have played. It's also one of the best bonding experiences in Co-Op games history.
So many co-op games feel like you and your team are just playing solo and getting pissed at people who aren't putting up enough DPS or points or whatever, but Helldivers you work together in cool and interesting ways to do a pretty solid variety of objectives. The strategems are genuinely so cool to shop for and exciting to unlock. The monetization feels right for a 40$ game. You get a ton of premium currency and I never feel like i don't have a new unlock to earn spacebux for and be excited about. The cosmetics are really cool (no recolors that I've seen, capes notwithstanding).

The guns oh the guns! The sound design is completely genius. A singular achievement. When people talk about how gunplay feels they should study helldivers. The weird drag of your reticule is a big, risky, innovative mechanic that absolutely shines.

Smitten! 11/10. The audio options are all 11/10 by default. the game is genius. Love and Craft in every nook and cranny.

This is a really fun management sim! The art design is super cool, the sound design is responsive and magical in the right places without being annoying. I have run into a couple of visual bugs and weirdness but nothing to stop me enjoying the game. I love love love the vibe and I am excited to see more of what it can do.

It's a good looking game and I hope they fix it, but I had a game breaking bug that required me to delete my daughter's first horse (RIP Quagga) and that bug happened before the title even rolled. I tried playing on controller even though the game and steam rightfully warn you that the experience will not be ideal. The camera really was hard to control and came unglued from the way your horse is running if you as much as bump the right stick and doesn't reset until you press the shoulder button (really hard for my kid, 5). The camera follows your character on the yaw axis but it wont pitch down if you are running downhill which makes it very hard to see what you are riding toward.
On paper it sounds like a lot of fun, and my kid desperately wanted this game. I'm really disappointed that it's too busted to be easy for kids and that's just not something I can recommend. Hopefully they do some updates and I may pick it back up then if it's still improving.

Hades is the funnest game ever. 90 hours in it's still fun and there's still a fairly steady drip of new tiny surprises and storylines that keep cropping up. It's the best. Seriously.

This game is incredible. There's no reason it should work as well as it does. The scale of it makes factorio and satisfactory both feel tiny. I almost never take screenshots in games but I can't stop taking pictures of my dyson sphere rising over the horizon of my planet spanning factory. The day/night cycle is so cool and some planets are event tide locked with perpetual night/day sides which has fun applications for solar power or ray receivers from a dyson sphere. You also shoot solar sails into position with rail guns so you have to plan which side of the planet they'll be on. Then you can fly around space and all your freight ships going between planets and star systems. The first time i watched a fleet of logistics ships go warp speed i was convinced this is the perfect factory game.

The devs are incredible to be able to do all of this with a 5 man team. They update very regularly so far, and their plans for the rest of the game are insanely exciting.

Deep Rock Galactic is a really fun game! It really pushes you and your friends (hopefully you have someone to play with) to cooperate in new ways that you dont do in other games. The guns are cool, the traversal gadgets are super fun to solve puzzles with, and it's always fun to see what you will find in each randomly generated cave.

XCOM 2 is amazing and even after all this time and dozens of copycats, i don't think anything beats it at its own game. The War of the Chosen expansion is a triumph.

This game is amazing. It is all the fun co-op horror of left for dead, plus satisfyingly heavy melee attacks and an addictive and generous gear progression hook. Out of all the warhammer games this is the best one, maybe total war warhammer gives it a run for the full realization of the warhammer world ion that game, but Vermintide is legit one of my favorite games.
