Among military FPS games that try to capture realism, there is a balance that is not often met. On one side of the scale you have ARMA, which is too much for me personally. On the other side you have games like COD and the recent battlefield series, with CSGO somewhere in the middle. Insurgency contains the best parts of squad warfare from old battlefield, the savage damage modifiers of CSGO, and a mixture of adrenaline-fueled combat and tense, strategic camping over objectives. All weapons are modifiable and most are one hit kill. Spraying down a window is sometimes the best thing to do. An errant bullet can kill. If you're looking for a military sim that you doesn't require you to create a second facebook page just to network with your outfit, this is a fine choice. If it's on sale, definately pick it up. 9/10
