Let’s consider the tots and the seniors. Oh, the kiddos might have their floaties on, bobbing along the gentle waves, but would we call that swimming? And our cherished seniors, while some might be seasoned swimmers, others might prefer the serenity of a beach chair and the sweet strum of an ukulele over the energetic splashing about.

Anyways, my conclusion is: Not every Hawaiian is out there swimming, nor is it as smooth as the island breeze. Some may be dancing hula, strumming a sweet tune on the ukulele, or enjoying a plate of delicious poke under the soft sway of the palm trees.
