JT Eberhard   United States

I write blog What Would JT Do? on the Patheos network (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/wwjtd) .

I'm a public speaker about the dangers of religion, which keeps me frequently on the road (which cuts into gaming time pretty significantly). I've given plenary talks at Skepticon, the American Atheists National Conference, the SSA Leadership Conference, the American Humanist Association's National Convention, Dragon*Con, and multiple campuses and community groups all across the country. I'm also a debater on atheism and LGBT rights. As a debater, I've paired with other high profile atheists such as Richard Carrier, Victor Stenger, and Matt Dillahunty.

I think what most people know me for, though, is for being a co-founder of the Skepticon annual conference. From 2008-2010, I worked as the organizing team leader for Skepticon 1, 2, and 3.

After handing off the Skepticon torch, I joined the Secular Student Alliance in January 2011 as their first high school specialist. Previously, the SSA had allowed high schools to affiliate, but I was brought on board to build a high school program that catered to the specific needs of teenage activists. In my time at the SSA the number of high school groups grew over 400%. I left the SSA in August of 2012, but I'm still a supporter and I'm still a part of their speakers bureau.

Most importantly, I'm humanity's best chance in a zombie apocalypse.

Outside of my activist work, I'm a veteran of the Springfield Regional Opera's Young Artist Program. I have a handful of professional roles to my credit as a character baritone with various companies including work under the directorship of two-time Grammy-winner James Billings.
