I'm having a lot of fun playing Sparking! ZERO.
As a veteran DB fan, I've played almost all DB game ever released.
When the OG Sparking! (Budokai Tenkaichi) series released it became a massive hit for its gameplay-style, which ended up being a major reference to almost all anime battle arena games that came after it.
Fighter Z was a nice surprise to bring us back a 2D fighter, which we lacked in major consoles/PC since Budokai 3.
So we have Sparking! ZERO. Supposed to be a major hit, like Fighter Z was.
Unlike Xenoverse games, which were supposed to keep being "more new DB games", Sparking! ZERO aimed to be a revival of PS2's golden age, in which we had both Budokai 3 and Sparking! METEOR (BT 3).
I think it lives up to that. We have some nice What Ifs, we have a lot of characters that actually do feel different (obviously not as different as in games like Fighter Z, where you are supposed to have much less characters).
It's expensive but for those willing, I'd say it's worth it.
The graphics are running smooth at 1080p-mid on a 1060 6GB + 10th gen i5, with slight lags on cutscenes, but perfect on gameplay.
Like most fighter games, it requires patience in order to learn the mechanisms and have some chance in ranked matches, though that is a genre thing.
Unlike Fighter Z, though, I believe this one is much more noob-friendly. Of course, higher ranked players will use the most OP combos, but an average player may have a much better time as there are multiple techniques and gameplay styles.

Have fun playing!
