Played Rebirth on the PS VIta for months (addicted) and now Afterbirth on PC. Isaac is pure fun and frustration cranked up to 11.

This is one of those games that are fun to revisit from time to time and do a run or two even when you have completed most or all of it. With Afterlife adding quite a bit of contents to the main game, Rebirth still has way better balance and overall flow. If you are on the fence about this gem, buy Rebirth first and decide if you want the DLC later. Would highly recommend this game even at full price.

*Cloud save has the tendency to mess up your progress and achievements, just disable it and backup your local save instead.

Spec Ops: The Line can be summed up in one word: FUN. There is nothing innovative about this game. Everything is straightforward and quite linear. The choices you make along the way have almost no impact on how the story unfolds. These choices, however, will prompt you to act on your instincts.

SO:TL is a third person cover shooter yet the covering system is unreliable at times, and it will guarantee to annoy on Suicide Mission and Fubar difficulty. Vaulting over cover has to be precise or a melee command will be executed instead. Imagine being fired at and you suddenly pop out of cover to elbow the air followed by a "You Died" message.

Technical issues aside, Spec Ops: The Line is a satisfying cover shooter. Events and story pacing is superb. The guns are varied. Switching firing modes or a grenade attachment adds a bit of tactical depth to the gunplay.

If you are looking to play mutilplayer online matches, look elsewhere. Invite only co-op can possibly add another 2 to 3 hours of gameplay on top of the 6 to 8 hours required to complete the campaign. Spec Ops: The Line is an underrated gem that deserves more attention. Buy it on sale and enjoy the ride.
