I'm usually a calm gamer but this game got me yelling and pissed off at my teammates. Only one other game has made me do that, Overwatch. So yeah this game is a perfect imitation of Overwatch, I recommend.

Early Access Review
As someone whose religiously bought and played Battlefield games since Bad Company 2, this is definitely the closest I've felt reliving those glory days of Battlefield. It feels like Battlefield 3 without all the BS and yes its blocky but its not about the graphics its about that incredible gameplay loop that made the original battlefield games special.

Early Access Review
This game is really early in its development stages. As of writing this in Feb of 2022, I don't think this game is worth the price tag. There are a ton of glitches, enough to ruin my gameplay and the lack of enemies is the real sticking pont for me. This does have co op which most sword combat rpg games dont have but its really not worth it with all of the bugs you'll face. I'll be looking at this game closely as it moves forward but for now I'd wait.

A game that has very poor focus and doesn't hit it home till the end. Let's be clear, this game is decent. The open-world and how it's structured is a mess and has no real sense of uniformity. But the gameplay and characters are where this game shines. Never in a video game have I experienced such well written and crafted characters. The choices you make at the start seem worthless but towards the end, they have significant amounts of impact on how you'll experience the ending. Not with what happens, but how it affects you. Considering this is in the cyberpunk genre, it deals a lot with philosophy. Death, what it means to be human, relationships, the afterlife, and more. I think that's when this game shines. When it's rooted in its characters exploring a cyberpunk philosophy or showcasing wacky things that occur in this world. This game does run on PC, and decently but you will encounter bugs along the way. I'd highly suggest playing this game with ray-tracing on to experience all this game can offer on the visual side. In conclusion, I'd wait till this game is more complete with patches and DLC. But as it stands, the characters in Cyberpunk are some of the best in video game history and the story of these characters keep you engaged long enough to get you through it. The city of dreams awaits but maybe till it gets more updates.

I feel like Half Life Alyx shares my same sentiment with Bioschock Infinite. A game with a story that will leave you on the floor but with gameplay that is great sometimes but lacklaster in others. I've been playing VR since November, before Half Life Alyx's announcement and I've seen a variety of games like Boneworks, Blade & Sorcery, Walking Dead Saints & Sinners, Onward etc. So I had very high hopes for the gameplay but to be honest it was hit or miss for me. The gunplay is good but not great. Reloading is weird and not consistent (might be because of my controllers on rift s) and the amount of headshots needed to kill combine is kinda a lot considering the amount of ammo you get and how cumbersome reloading gets. Also there should've been more enemies per session. except for the end part, most combine encounters (which were the most fun) only had like 3. I get it it might be toned down for casuals. Also the physics is great and has awesome world building but didn't really matter on the gameplay side. You can't use objects as melee weapons or anything. I felt like it also drags in the middle chapters until chapter 7. Okay all of that aside. Everything else is INCREDIBLE. The sound design especially. I don't care about sound design yet THIS GAME MAKES ME APPRECIATE IT. The story also just makes this game obviously. Not saying anything else. This is a 9/10 due to the incredible story, world, and polish. Lackluster gameplay in moments is made up with everything else. A must play if you have VR. Don't know if i would've gotten a VR headset just for it but its ONE of the games that you should get a vr headset for. With other games like Boneworks, beat saber, blade & sorcery etc.

The gameplay is just not fun. The characters and story was very interesting and I'll be watching all the cutscenes on YouTube but the game was so shallow that it wasn't worth grinding through it for the story.
