The last basketball game I ever played was NBA STREET on ps2 back in the early 2000s. Sports game just never really did it for me but given the cavs success in making into finals I was hyped enough to pickup this game.

As a person who hasn't played any 2k15 sports games before, there was a learning curve. NO INTERACTIVE TUTORIALS EXIST. There are short video tutorials that do not teach how to play the game well. Regardless, the game was simply enough to pick up after a while. It should be of note that you'll enjoy this game a lot more with a controller than a keyboard and mouse. Whoever ported the controls over for PC must have been on some serious drugs or just stupid.

I spent most of my time playing the mode named "MyCAREER" a mode where you can make a player and take him from rookie to vet. This mode was pretty fun except for some very glaring issues. For one thing, there is only one voice actor for your player. If you're anything like me and wanted to recreate yourself ingame you'll be disappointed that no matter your skin color, you will sound like midwest inner city black man. But that's not too important, what really makes me mad is that this game cheats are really frustrating times.

I made it to the finals in my 2nd season where the opposing team would get rubberbanded anytime I pulled ahead. If you head into the fourth quarter with a 15 point lead, your team's ai will turn into horrible defenders who couldn't shoot for ♥♥♥♥. Meanwhile the opposing team's players would all turn into some lebron-jordan hybrid that could make endless threes until they got caught up to speed. This was regardless of who shot the ball, low scoring players could make half court shots if the game was tilted enough. My character was arguablely one of the best players in the nba, I was the highest scoring player in the nba and close to blowing out records. Despite all this, I was never voted MVP or anything like that. The game just became repetitive after a while. But I enjoyed it.
