- 30fps cap (the workarounds cause bugs and crashes)
- EA stole the original game from customers for no reason.

The community manager told me to give the game a negative review.

EDIT: The Sony fiasco is resolved so I'm changing to a positive review because the game is decent and the devs are cool, but I still think the community managers are imbeciles. Not because they told us to refund and review-bomb their own game, but because they blatantly lied about the reasons for the move as they spewed nonsense about their ban system.

Nothing to it, the entire goal is to watch a clunky story by walking over bubbles.

Massive downgrade from the original, which EA killed forcing players to pay again for the same game.
Except that it's not really the same game, it's worse. Graphics are a bit better, but they were certainly not outdated trashy graphics in the 2010 release or anything that would warrant its death. In the remaster you don't get amazing graphics either, what you get is:

- No wheel support (the original in 2010 had wheel support)
- No sense of speed, speedometer is the only way to really tell if you're at 200s or 300s km/h
- Atrocious rubberbanding: when the AI decides you should get ahead, you get ahead. If it doesn't, you don't. Simple as that. You can surprise it in corners if you're close, but it doesn't matter, most you can do is give it a tiny nudge because:
- Wonky physics, the weight of the cars is inconsistent. When you drive normally the car feels incredibly heavy. When you slam it into another car, it has impact of maybe half its weight. If you have the lead on another but it's a bit to your side so that you can slam it, well, you can't, the game will consider the other car slamming into you, probably because it only expects the car behind to slam the car in front.
- Very bad handling, which is why the cars feel so heavy in general in the first place. The angles in which you can turn are very very narrow, and a lot of the time you will have to drift even in wide corners where the mere idea to drift them would be ridiculous. If you like grip, you'll not enjoy yourself here.
- Incessant cutscenes and teleportation. When you hit someone with any equipment like spikes or take them down, the game will interrupt you for a cutscene. After it's over, you're teleported to the area where you were, often on the wrong side of a curve, and sometimes ruining your positioning to take out the next car.
- Bad career mode: generally very very easy but time-consuming. Playing as a cop has you spend the first hours not chasing suspects or shutting down races, it's you by yourself racing against the clock. Definitely the point of playing as the cops. And it's even more lackluster than it sounds because:
- The cars generally all feel the same, and there's no customization. And the game keeps throwing them at you after every race to the point where it's just meaningless and a bit annoying to skip through the messages.
- Supporting EA in another anti-consumer tactic of making players pay for the same but worse game once again, as if supporting EA alone isn't a good enough reason to stay away.
