Orcish Skies is a solid strategy game that makes you make hard choices and seriously consider risk reward. There are few surprises in combat, enemy moves are visible and how dangerous your positioning is not a surprise, but are you willing to take those hits to maximize your hand or are you going to play it safe is a question you will ask every battle.

Oh, and when that bassline hits during the boss fight theme, you are going to feel it in your gut.

This game is not for everyone to like, but it is a game everyone should try. Its a game that makes you really question what is the point of a game. But like a good suspenseful movie or long running series, you might not be entirely sure what is going on at first. You might not even have good time. But it will drag you deeper in. And you might start to get it. You'll realize something.

You will realize that the game hates you. It feels like the game wants you to screw up, then laughs at you when you do. As crazy as that sounds, its a good thing. Many people will use that as a driving point to push them on. Win, to spite the game. Or you might quit. You might catch the plague, get stabbed over and over in the kidneys, and accidentally poison an entire ward by doing what you thought was a nice thing to do. . . and that's okay. Not every actor is right for the role, but you should audition anyway.

And even if you don't get far, you will remember it. I promise that.
