Runs smooth. Lots of variety in weapons and pickups. The achievements are all songs. Highly recommended.

Could use some polish. There's definitely a base for a good game here so I'm not refunding in hopes that my contributions help make that happen.

Good:
- No crashing or stuck in map (so far)
- Large map to explore
- Building variety
- Day/night cycle
- Dedicated servers

Meh:
- You can avoid zombies by jumping up on just about anything and they don't climb ladders. Hope they get a bit smarter.
- Found a couch and placed it in the environment but beyond that could not interact with it. What's the point?
- Looting containers kind of puzzling. Found three identical ammo boxes next to each other but only one was lootable and it contained nothing.
- Price is a bit steep for what's currently available. Will look better when/if more features get added.
- Not a fan of the spawning system. Mole Zombies or did everyone just bury their dead where ever they fell. lol

Going to recommend for now but waiting to see if it's a keeper. I'd say if you're interested in investing in what could be a great game then go ahead and make a purchase. If you're looking for something that's playable now you might want to try 7 Days to Die or Day Z, come back to this later.

Toxic community overrun with racist loud mouth ♥♥♥♥ heads. Play something else and let them enjoy each others company.

Cash grab playing off the nostalgia of a game from the Xbox consoles, but I didn't own an Xbox so I'm not really feeling it. Lucky enough to release next to the polished turd BF 2042 like an ugly girl bringing her fat friend to prom to look that much better. Can't choose what game mode you play so you're either quitting to join a game you want to play or playing in a depleted lobby from others leaving. You clip through the enemy team because we can't bother to program proper clipping. Close quarters fights become spinning melee mashes that 80% of the time end in a tie like a bad boxing match. And what are the chances so many fights end in a tie like that? It's almost as if it's terrible code but nah, it's just amazing coincidence I'm sure. I didn't pay for this game, but I want a refund of my time wasted.

I'm enjoying the game. I'm no where near the end game at this time so maybe things get slow or grinding down the line but I've played through the content up into the first boss of 4, so I guess I've seen about 25% of what there is to offer. I know some people had reservations due to who made the game but even if what they say holds true, the current product appears to be great for $29.

What I like:
Offline mode. Thank you for providing something I can enjoy away from my internet. I can only pray this will work with the Steam Deck when that gets released.
Friends only games. Nothing worse than random toxic trolls or prepubescent Adderall patient coming along and injecting their brand of fun into your good time. Thanks for allowing me to regulate my experience.
Long game time. I'm busy, no one is paying my bills so I have to work for a living and I'm tired when I do have downtime. Allowing for quick games is great, but also allowing days to complete a task is awesome too.
Game look beautiful and runs well. I was lucky enough to get a 2070 before the shortages made buying cards impossible, and I've upgraded my CPU to a 5900X this year. With this hardware, I haven't seen a crash and the game runs in a playable frame rate with high settings. I can't vouch for others in this area, but on my computer it's running better than Modern Warfare ever did so good job.

What I don't like:
There's been 2 updates so far, and both have been only 2-3 Mb so that's not a big deal but for some reason it appears to reinstall my entire game or simply re-check my entire installation on both of these instances. When a patch hit between game sessions I found myself staring at a steam progress screen while my friend was playing. Perhaps this is a technical issue on my end, but still annoying.
Unclear objectives. On one mission we did find ourselves looking for a needle in a haystack of sorts. Not to give away too much about it, we simply must've walked past the objective in the dark to trigger the mission progress but lost track of it's position and ended up combing quite a large area looking for something with an extremely vague description. So far just that one mission became a few hours of a jam, but I can see some people simply quitting in frustration if this happens repeatedly.
Spawning on one of the missions. You go through a game that looks fantastic and appears to follow the laws of physics to an extent of sorts to keep things interesting. For example, the power it takes to chop a tree down in three to fours whacks would likely shatter the poor stone axe long before the tree breaks but we can suspend belief for a moment because it's a game and it would be boring to take actual real world hours to chop down a tree. So I understand the trade off for this experience. However, in one mission early on, I have animals just spawning within feet of my character. Simply poof, 4 angry wolves. This appears to be a bug or an oversight because later in the game I find myself having to defend an objective vs. waves of angry animals and they come running in, not appearing out of thin air. I hope not to see this again as the idea of magically appearing animals is not only immersion breaking but feels like a method of creating difficulty unnecessarily. Like I said, perhaps a bug or an oversight in the spawning of this one mission because I haven't seen it again. I hope that stays true.

What I would like to see:
PVE is great, but hopefully down the line they can open up a competing teams option? Keep the instance based game and keep the friends or invite only matches but allow us to compete against each other. Like two corporate entities fighting over a prospect. It doesn't even have to be something like direct PVP but objective based. Perhaps the first group to secure a specific amount of a rare metal receives the prospect (aka victory) or something along those lines.

Overall, I'm enjoying the game and I don't feel like I wasted my money in this purchase. Keep up the good work and I look forward to things to come.

Don't buy this game.

You'll stay up late at night, running from hordes. Chipping away at rocks and trees. Upgrading and perfecting your tools, weapons, armor and base.

You'll lose track of time at work, planning a perfect fortress. Or perhaps an underground bunker? Maybe a lakehouse on stilts? Designing pitfalls and intricate pathways. High walls or landmines?

This game will consume you. I can't recommned it. Stay back.
