Little Misfortune is an interactive story with great visuals, voice acting, music, and humor. I feel the studio really out did themselves with the animation, backgrounds, attention to detail, and atmosphere of the game. The protagonist is charming and has an entertaining personality. This reminded me of (dark) illustrated story book where you get to pick your own choices.

I think many reviewers were expecting more Fran Bow or gameplay than they expected (It has less than Fran Bow, but it is intentional). As noted by other reviews, the game isn't very long, but one should go back and try all the options to get to know more about the characters and achieve the "eternal happiness" achievement. Regardless, a $20 price tag ($18 if you owned Fran Bow around launch) for a brand new game by an indie studio is not that high of a price relatively, as there are many things I assume most people spend on that don't meet the time, quality, effort, work, and love put into this story. I find people that are that bothered by the price or game itself, appreciate gameplay and gameplay hours more than the experience and art, which is fine, but this game is focusing on the latter, and the studio never hid that.

If you want to experience a great interactive story/game, Little Misfortune delivers. If you are expecting Fran Bow, a point and click, or gameplay heavy game, don't, experience the characters, story, art, and music. If anything, this should make fans of both games hopeful for the future as one can assume they may be able to combine the best elements of both games into a future release.

This is a great game. It has many of the same elements of modern point and clicks, yet it is important to understand that these mechanics are heightened with the story and artwork. The artwork was beautiful, and it added to the dark, eerie setting of the game. The story wasn't what I thought it would be from the preview, but I was still pleasantly surprised. It was well written and engaging, keeping you interested in moving forward. This is good to help shed light on conditions during the White Terror, and reflect on freedom and guilt. The game has scary moments, but most aren't very cheap (there is only one small jump scare in the beginning) and shouldn't stop you from playing the game unless the general atmosphere itself is too much. I think most people could handle the level of horror and gore, and it'd be worth it to tell a great story for a great game. It is a must play for me.

Super Meat Boy is a tight platforming game affliated with newgrounds.com. The platforming involves skill and requires a player to adjust to the difficultly. There are a number of levels and playable characters that keeps the levels interesting after the first playthrough. I enjoy that the levels are relatively short and focus a lot on gameplay making it the perfect game when I don't want to overthink or spend a long amount of time playing a game (I love story driven games, but it's also good to have games with only solid gameplay mechanics). I would recommend this for people who enjoy solid, challenging 2D platforming games. The price for what you get is also a great deal. 9/10

While the game isn't bad, I find this game to be lacking in many areas other games don't (including the indie game genre). The puzzle-solving involves a lot of trial and error. Maybe if a player truly loves puzzle-solving just for the thrill of solving them, they could appreciate this game more than I did. There is no feeling of reward for solving the puzzle; the player simply goes on to the next puzzle. There isn't much to the story either. It is very bare bones even compared to platforming and puzzle solving games decades ago, which do, tell, and show more than this game. The good art and level design doesn't dwarf these issues, and the sounds and music are minimalistic. There isn't enough here, and the game is hurt from it being overhyped. I find myself asking, "Did I have fun playing this? Was I rewarded for solving the puzzle or progressing (slowly)? Does this try to show or tell me something? What is this leading to? The answers for me led to not really, no, not really, and nothing. The lack of all of these elements made me feel as if it was more of chore to get to the end rather than an experience or fun experience.

Rocket League is an addictive game once a player learns how to control the cars. It's fun and can be fairly relaxing when playing in career mode (depends on the player based on how you play in multiplayer games). The art, visuals, and music are great, and it has a lot of updates and replayability. It's a favorite for a reason. 10/10 since it never gets old.

Fran Bow is a psychological horror point and click adventure game utilizing different art styles (black and white, clay, paper cut, etc.) yet primarily a dark, eerie children's story book type style. It is story rich (important to value the story/dialogue) with many interesting characters. This game's story will involve players coming to their own conclusions of the events around them, much like Fran, and it is probably good to replay the story to come to better conclusions on the whole story. These types of games offer a good experience to players and is refreshing in a time where point and clicks are becoming less appreciated and common. The game involves dark, mature, and gory subject matter (trauma, mental illness, & abuse) and isn't for those that are sentitive to those themes. The main game centers around Fran trying to find out what caused the death of her parents and "truth." The game offers interesting/innovative gameplay elements when it comes to mechanics changing Fran's perception of reality. This is a game better experineced and played rather than explained too in-depth in a review. I'd give this game a 9/10.

This is hands down the best 3D Sonic game out. It looks beautiful and is fast. They take the best levels and gameplay elements in the franchise and capitalize on it. That doesn't mean it's without its flaws. Every now and then, the modern Sonic levels will have glitches or controls that throw you off a stage unfairly. The concept of making the same level in 3D and 2.5D is great and works. The music and music selection options are top notch as well. I would give this a 8.5/10.

This was the game (FFX) that started my journey into RPGs as a teen when I happened to rent it from Blockbuster. I then purchased the game and got stuck on the Natus boss, never finishing the game. For that reason, I decided to pick up the HD remake.

The visuals and music that blew me way as a teen still looked and sounded great today (I prefer the new arrangement of the music). The story while not perfect was good for video game standards and kept me engaged throught the game. I really enjoy the turn based combat of this RPG. I found the upgrade system complicated as a teen, but this time around I was able to understand more gameplay elements being older. You have to be patient learning some gameplay elements. For instance blitzball became fun when I finally sat down and tried to learn it (takes 15-20mins). I loved the world and collectables throughout it. It simply really embodies a good adventure. I loved playing this game again and would give it a 9/10 for today's standards.

I beat FF7 since then and played a good bit of XIII. That being said I started X-2... um...yeah, very different tone and fanservice-y. I saw the more active gameplay of XIII in it, but it wasn't nearly as good or fun. I have never felt so compelled not to play a game. They just seem very different, and from what I read about it, I would have hated myself for trying to get through it due to the story and overall game. I cannot reccommend playing X-2. After playing X, I'd give it a more personal 0/10 (maybe it deserved a 3-6 objectively, but idk I really disliked it).

A polished Xbox classic. It is great for nostagic purposes and still is a great game. Having played the sequel there are great gameplay elements missing that definitely make the game feel aged (specifically how to organise and cast spells). Very straight forward but memorable story.

This is a game that I believe every South Park fan would enjoy with content of a better than average episode and scenes that can only be pulled off through this type of media. The game really brings life to the world/town; however if you look at it from the perspective of an RPG, it doesn't break much ground and comes out to be average, maybe slightly better than average due to the creative use of certain elements of the IP. After playing a handful of great RPGs, I have to say this didn't really impress me that much gameplay wise. To me it'd be an 8/10. I definitely think the good use of the IP and solid gameplay caused some people to overrate the game in comparison to other great games with better gameplay (even in the RPG space). Come into this game wanting to play in a decent South Park episode and not expecting a groundbreaking videogame.
