GOOD
Game loop is enjoyable. Runs are fun when you get going (~5hrs into playing). It is a grind up until then.

BAD
I will start most severe and go down.
I AM NOT ABLE TO PLAY WITHOUT DELETING MY SAVE FILE. There is a UE4 crash upon launch if you get a BSOD that will not allow you to play the game unless you delete your save file. This has been reported multiple times in the Heart Machine discord. I have deleted my save file once (after ~7h) when this happened the first time, played for 2h more and it happened again. BEWARE.

Normal mobs hit hard, for about 1/4 hp per attack. Most are dodgable with time, however some track the player character with almost no counterplay, getting into a "kill or be killed" state.
Prism mobs (2 prisms, 4 prisms, 6 prisms unlock "Crowns") are minibosses. They provide a challenge before the Crowns, or final bosses, on each run. Defeating them feels good. There is one triple rifle shot prism mob that is one of these "kill or be killed".
Crowns provide an even tougher challenge, and are beatable with the right gear. Unless you can parry everything, you will not kill a crown for some time. Crown fights also spawn normal mobs behind you at random times.

Weapons
The weapons feel very samey. Every character can equip the same weapons, so the best weapon will always be the best no matter the character. Swing swing dash repeat.

Characters
There are 3 characters as of now, with 2 "variants". These variants are a different passive, and different base stats. You'll do the same combo anyways, so just pick the one with the best passive.

Predatory monetization

So, it says 85 GBs on the store page. Turns out it needs 96 GBs to install the launcher and then 20 GBs more to install the actual game. I can't play it because I don't have room for it. I'm sure it's a great game though.
