If you can't find active lobbies in Grid 2 :
Change your downnload region region to UK London or Munich, Germany.
Check the "Everything " playlist first, then" Race Only". Last and least, there are Custom playlists you can join, but they don't pay very much and are usually not very well set up, with full damage and hard AI, no flashbacks, etc.
You should consider doing some career play in this game, if for no other reason to get familiar the tracks and various modes.
To go immediately online in Grid 2 is suicide in most cases.
