While the core mechanics of the base game have been a big improvement compared to CK2, the game 2 years after release is still very bare-bones and lacking flavour and substance. Paradox has been very slow in regards to updating the game and releasing good DLC. At the moment I don't think the vanilla game is worth playing at all. The only redeeming quality is the modding scene and total conversion mods that have been released or are in the making.

Update after playing for some more hours: There also is too many stupid, immersion breaking events. You farted, everyone laughs, +1000 stress, -2 diplomacy for 10 years.

The best DLC so far. Most of the players' wishes have been fullfilled.

It's still great even though it's old.

7 Quirky but good.

One of the best expansions. Completly changes the steppes.

New portraits look pretty but overall there isn't enough content for 15€.

Better than Hearthstone even though it is almost exactly like Heartstone.
