I've played that on about Day1 or so back in EA. It awesome then. I've decided to wait till full release. It is still awesome and got wider, taller and richer.
It is solid tactics game with some unique talents and mechanics. It has strong focus on stealth, but you can mostly ignore it if you want and go all guns blazing. Personally I prefer to use both approaches and this game fits that desire perfectly.
I support Trese Brothers since early days on android games, but Space Traders: Frontiers and this gem are pinnacle content you don't want to miss. Given that this team will support it for AGES with new content and polish buying it is anyway a great investment.

It quire fun and kings play differently. Starting difficulties were a breeze, but Count+ is tough.

I've decided to play it again after many years seeing a message about server wipe due to some hacker attack. Back then there was no steam reviews, so I'm giving it now - cool game, good sequel. Would be a bit better if it would be a bit less about management of resources between planets, but core gameplay still great. Would love to see 3rd installment in series. And many thanks for developers keeping online feature available after all those years.

I was kinda hyped for this game, but it just does not cut it - game is unpolished at all. Everything is so small and impossible to distinguish. Controls feel wonky. Music is repetitive at best. Maybe sim is great(it shows some potential), but it is impossible to enjoy at current state. Also, visuals on screenshots are way better than game actually is (on maxed settings), mostly cause they're taken close-up with those nice angles, which you'll never actually play with.
Wish it spent more time in EA

More of a puzzle than tactical game it is still brilliant. Interesting levels, lovable characters, great cutscenes and solid visual style. Go get it.

While I've got my share of fun, and I may play more I don't recommend this game for a few reasons:
1. Early waves are tedious and boring. You have to build same stuff over and over again. And I'm not talking towers - I'm talking village. I think village management should be reduced to mostly meta with a just a few key upgrades like taxes/tavern/trading that are done during the game. Another option is auto-upgrades at certain waves, that could be also done as meta-unlocks.
2. Again early waves - it is tedious and boring to wave 7 just to see how your initial path would look like. So another option would be to cut this part - i.e one starts with more tiles already unlocked. Right now till wave 4 it is just 1 tower anyway.
3. RNG. It sucks. No elites - no free resources. Bad banners? Tough luck. Sometimes it is ridiculous like you scrifice worker to get another one. But also -10% productivity... WTF? Give players more control. An option would be not only to rework current mode, but also present a different mode where player could pre-select loadouts and at least make preferences on what player does and does not want to see,
4. VIsual indication of spawners - if you play spell focused run you need to be able to identify mobs at a glance and spawners are probably most lacking in that regard.

Having said all that: it is fun for few early runs, when you unlock meta and if you're not detracted by RNG-heavy and tedius earlygame - give it a shot.

Great idea, but implementation is lacking. Game should've spent maybe 2-3 years in EA from current state to recieve a lot more polish. Right now ti feels like students graduation game and if you look at it in that perspective - it is great. But as full fledged game? No, not worth the price. Should be 3-4 times lower.

Also, reading from comments of players who spent more time - game is probably artificially prolongs it's stay by just recoloring resources/enemies. Shame.

I believe when it was originally released it was a masterpiece. Now it is quite boring game with extremely prolonged sequences. Story is nice, however still not completed(and will probably never be). Despite owning the game I've decided to watch it on YT and that saved me a lot of nerve cells and time.
