Honestly surprised Sony caved. Not arguing. Game always deserved a positive review from me and now it especially does.

Solid 4p shooter which should appeal to fans of DRG/L4D, with surprisingly good attention to detail. Tons of fun at a very affordable price, with content coming out at a surprisingly consistent rate. Especially entertaining is the galactic war element which really does give the feeling of working together against a common foe.

It's not perfect, if you have a bug that annoys you don't expect it to be fixed next patch cycle as the Devs are apparently a pretty small team for how far the game has reached. This being said, their passion really comes through and the gameplay slaps.

Unfortunately, things are looking dire. I love this game, but in its current state I cannot recommend it. Until more time is spent on bug fixes and a reconsidered patch schedule, the proposed DLC quality to price ratio is just not worth the cost. The removal of FLC legendary lords for legendary heroes, game breaking bugs lasting for months in each patch cycle, $25 asking price for a DLC with a splinter more content over the lord packs of old... It's not looking good folks.

Game is good now, at least good enough for me.

You know, it's just really damn good. I'm a fan of the total war formula normally, but the sheer difference between factions creates a game that's really quite special.
Cavalry fan? Bretonnia.
Gunpowder fan? Empire.
Dragon fan? High Elves.
Insane rat artifice? Skaven.

The sheer depth of variety is mind boggling, topped off with solid mechanics for each faction, on and off the battlefield. I cannot recommend it enough.

Now to be totally fair, it's not completely without fault. Expect to buy the first game for the best way to experience the setting (Mortal Empires) and the DLC, while typically exceptional in quality, is sometimes required to bring the most out of some factions.

The evolving nature of the upgrade cycle means that some of the races available are trapped in the past (Norsca, Warrors of Chaos), however CA have made good efforts to bring these races up to snuff for free with the Beastmen and the Wood Elves (the worst offenders for a good while).

All in all, great times to be had, and if you like strategy games with tactical battles, this is one of the best.

Came in expecting disappointment. Was disappointed. Top tier, longest time I've spent in a VR headset in one sitting. Well worth full price.

10/10 at developing my fear of fire and burning Oil. Would self-immolate again.

Still Freaking Excellent if you hate walls.
