To my personal taste, this game is superior to hollow knight in almost everything, exceptions being exploration and platforming.

+ The combat is sekiro-like parry based fast,engaging and rewarding.
+ The story is an actual clearly spelled story (which i liked a lot btw) with proper beautiful cutscenes (not animated but very cool non the less)
+ The setting, well that's subjective, but they nailed it here for me with this blend of ghost in the shell like cuberpunk and more grounded far eastern tao/buddhist vibes.
+ The progression system is almost identical to what you have in hollow knight
+ The animations are wonderful
+ Banger soundtrack

- The platforming never becomes challenging, like at all, it's definetly a combat focused game
- The exploration is almost not there, you never get lost or wonder where to go, the game is quite linear and there are few hidden treasures, let alone areas
- Not a minus for me, but for many people it will be, after getting the true ending, there's not much else to do, unlike in hollow knight with it's extra challenges

All in all, this game was a complete surprise to me, and an absolute gem

A blend of diablo and souls games in the best way, so far so good. Can't wait to see how the game will evolve trough early access

I loved every moment of this game, I feel like the way they fused sekiro parries with bloodborne rally system actually works really well, so I would say that it's a game that stands on it's own, rather being just a simple clone of FROM soft games as some reviewers tend to suggest. Also really loved the idea of taking a classic children fairy tale and readaptating it in this grim and dark way, would love to see more of this (a Peter Pan game maybe?)

Unexplored 2 captures the feeling of being on an adventure as few games do. Would compare it to Wildermyth in that regard (by the way, how about adding the history of previous fallen wayfarers to the journal as Wildermyth does?). The procedural generation does wonders, lore is intriguing. Special mentions to art style and soundtrack: just amazing. Trading and skill check mechanics are very interesting and fresh.
Some cons I can name is that it is a bit buggy (hopefully that will become less true with every patch) and the combat feels kind of meaningless as many reviewers have stated. The developers already expanded on their point of view regarding combat, and I can see their point of not incentivising players to fight every creature they encounter, but I think some small thing would go a long way as for instance a bestiary with some lore that is unlocked by beating a monster X times, as well as keeping stats on how many times you killed/got killed by particular enemy (I haven't played enough to tell if it is already not there, but the nemesis system would fit the game perfectly). Maybe I just played to much of tunic/death's door/elden ring lately, but i feel severe lack of dodge/roll button while in combat.
Also would love to see the equipment I have on my character, for instance seeing the cape if I have it equipped ecc.
All in all, great and very unique game, the developers clearly have a vision for it, and I can't wait to see what's next for this game.

A shot adventure game that is full of heart. The writing is very good, every character is original and charismatic. The voice acting is very on point. Once you finish the game, you feel like you've truly been through an adventure, the same feelings I had after watching an Indiana Jones movie or the likes as a kid. I think the developer did a really really good job on recapturing that magic feeling

My first ever negative review on steam.
Although I really liked the game, but I want to voice my opinion on how bad and dangerous this developers behaviour is. Removing some content from a 5 year old game just to please some vocal minorities (which opinions should be respected, don't get me wrong, and that's exactly why there was a toggle to let you choose if you want to experience said content in the first place) is as bad as it gets. Them saying that "You deserve better." feels like a complete joke and insult to my intelligence. I know for myself what I deserve, that's why i want the toggle to choose for myself, thank you.
Would strongly advise everybody to not support this developer unless they get back on the right track. We as gaming community shouldn't incentivize this kind of practices in the industry, vote with your wallet.

Please release a DLC to allow skipping the elephant part
