While some of the grinds can be a bit much (especially at higher difficulties), the game is very enjoyable to play casually or cranking it up to hardcore.

Great souls-like game. They take their own fresh approach on this genre, while still keeping that souls difficulty. Definitely need to approach this game from a different combat mindset compared to Dark Souls, but once it clicks, the game is very enjoyable to play through.

9/10 for me. Really looking forward to the DLC

Such a good game. The feel I get from playing this game, is what I wanted out of 2042. Although a rough launch, once the bugs and server issues were ironed out, it is a masterpiece in terms of battlefield.

Break away from the usual Dark Souls combat style. Refreshing, but a good time. Prepare to die a lot.

Having a busy/hectic life (as many people may have), playing this game is extremely relaxing for me and is a nice game to wind down to.

Good game. I love Dark Souls 1 and to a lesser extent 2, but the fluidity of combat and increased pace in this game, I enjoy and prefer much more. 9/10

Great game in my opinion. Sure there are bugs (lot of funny ones though, that I do not mind) and the story is not the deepest. But for me it has this coziness to it and a feeling it gives me that makes me always come back to it (also the modding community is enormous). I got the game for the Xbox 360 in my later years of high school when it was released and that may also be a part of the happiness this game brings me, along with nostalgia. If you include the game, along with the vast modding community and just coziness the game gives, it is a 9/10 for me personally.

Game is in a much better state, then it once was. Would I recommend it? Yes. That being said, I would get it on a sale. The game is 2 1/2 years old at this point, and while it still is a very enjoyable experience , it still is a good margin away from what the game was supposed to be. Graphically it looks fantastic on PC, but the city feels dead. It is called "Night City", but at night, the roads feel empty. Graphics, story, and characters are solid, but it is not perfect. As stated, getting this game on a sale; it is a solid play through. Just keep expectations in check.

EDIT: While the npc AI is not the best and the game still has some issues, it is in a great state at the moment. With the release of patches 2.0 and 2.1, I can say that the world feels a lot better now. Cranking up density and playing at pretty high fidelity, the world feels more alive now. Though I would still say to get the game on a sale (which of today it is), the game in its current state is very much worth a buy now. Although the way the game was initially released was unacceptable, especially for last gen buyers, the game was thankfully not given up on, and is in my option a great game now. Strong 8.5 out of 10 for me, potentially grazing that 9 line.
