One of the worst ports Sony has published (and that’s a low bar). Can’t progress the game past chapter 6 because a scripted sequence doesn’t start, causing the whole map to be broken and un rendered.

Stutters happen regularly. Game frequently soft locks when opening the menu forcing you to need to force quit it and lose progress, usually returning you to the beginning of a chapter.

No communication from Ballistic Moon or Sony at all on any of the problems. They didn’t even post that the game released on socials, which is hilarious.

Game doesn’t auto save much. Switching save files requires going back to the splash screen (NOT the main menu). No save backups for when you hit a game breaking glitch (which will be often).

I really wanted to enjoy this as a fan of the genre and having seen very good things about the original game, but this is nothing less than a $60 buggy, unoptimised cash grab. The price tag is disgusting for what you get here, considering the original game was a fraction of the price.

It should be pulled from sale until all of the issues are fixed. This trend of AAA publishers releasing half-broken games to line their pockets and then taking a whole month to fix any problems should be outlawed.

It’s absolutely disgusting how good this game is for the price. Ended up ruining my sleep schedule and I’m now off to bed at 6am, gg

Viewfinder is a cute game, with some really intriguing puzzles, but I can’t recommend it yet.

Unfortunately, the game is way too repetitive. At first, it blows your mind, but then as you go through the levels you start to wonder why you’re repeating the same thing.

The game tries to stay fresh by introducing new mechanics in specific zones and levels, but then for some reason decides to completely give up using them after a level or two. What’s the point in introducing new, interesting mechanics for them to be barely used?

At the current price point (£20), I don’t see enough value and playtime. The game can be completed in a mere few hours provided that you grasp the basic mechanics, and it’ll probably leave you wanting more (for that, I recommend Superliminal).

The game is basically a mashup of Destiny, Borderlands, and Gears of War (unsurprising since this developer made GoW Judgment). Despite having MANY launch day issues with the servers, when I could actually get onto the game, it has been a very enjoyable experience.

The gameplay loop consists of going to an area, clearing enemies, then going to another area and doing the same thing, with some story added in along the way. It *sounds* repetitive, but it's actually incredibly fun, especially when you mix in the class abilities, unique bosses, and the loot shooter element of being able to upgrade and min/max your gear.

My only major criticism of Outriders is that it forces you to be online to play. The server issues wouldn't be such a big deal if the game was playable offline in singleplayer.
