Let me start off by saying this game has never claimed to be something it isn't. It is an arcade-style beat-em-up wrestling game with game modes designed to be fast-paced and simple. This is not 2k or a wrestling sim.

With that being said, I have had a lot of fun with this game and enjoyed playing through it with some of my favorite AEW wrestlers who have never been officially featured in a game before. You can play couch co-op with your friends and family, there is a linear story mode that does offer alternate paths on different playthroughs which was a fun incentive to play through the story multiple times. The graphics are functional but nothing amazing, the gameplay is simple but responsive, the only complaint I will give on this game (and it's a pretty big one) is that it is NOT worth $60 at full price. IT has lowered to $40 for the standard and $60 for the Elite which is better, but still not worth the full price. Get it around 50% off and manage your expectations. It's not as terrible as people had me believing and does offer enough to keep you busy for a while. Not the greatest wrestling game out there, but if you are an AEW fan and just want to play a simple wrestling game as some of your favorite wrestlers, this game will satisfy the itch.

Didn't know what to expect with this game but I got it on sale and heard good things so I gave it a try. Honestly cannot complain about it whatsoever. I put about 10 hours into it and reached full completion and I do not see any reason to ever pick this title up again; but that does not take away how good this game was. The game is more of a movie with gaming themes as its pretty linear and relies heavily on not only it's visuals, but its audio as well. It's a sensory treat when played with headphones. There is only a single set of collectibles throughout the game that are pretty straightforward in collecting and the puzzles within the game are fun and engaging. Combat is simple and is linear as well; you'll never stumble upon an enemy, you will stumble upon an "instance" where you draw your sword and must defeat the enemy/enemies, then after completion you will sheathe your sword and continue completing puzzles. With all this, the story is also fascinating and enjoyable to follow. After 10 hours of playing this, I found it very fun, very much worth the discounted price i bought it at, and a break from the norm of what games tend to be these days. I'd recommend it to anyone. It's a treat of a game, and while it may not have any replayability whatsoever, it does have a sequel that I am now incredibly interested in upon completing this title. If you like linear story-driven games, this one is a must-play. If you want to find a perfect game to kill an afternoon or weekend with, this is your game.

I bought this game near its launch and have owned it for over 10 years now. I made my initial playthrough all of those years ago but never 100% the achievements. I was scrolling through my library recently and decided to pick this game up once more and fully complete it. The story is absolutely phenomenal, the gameplay is smooth, the puzzles are fun and engaging, overall this game is absolutely delightful. And being able to complete it in about 4 hours start to finish is about perfect for this specific game. It plays more like a movie and 4 hours just works for it.

If you are looking for a quick game to play entirely through in one sitting that has an amazing story and engaging gameplay then this one is for you. They did release a "remake" of this game last year that is probably exactly the same just prettier, however I'd argue the original art style and gameplay makes this game much warmer for the heart. However I didn't play the remake so I cannot say that confidently. If you are looking at this game, understand it is so good they literally made a remake for it 11 years later. It IS short, but it is SO good. After a decade I never forgot the original story and playing through it again to 100% completion was a very enjoyable experience. 10/10

Its the same game from over 25 years ago, just with achievements now! They offer nothing new whatsoever, but they took the old game and made it run smoothly and perfectly over 25 years later. It's honestly impressive. And for $10, how could you not buy this? If you have never played this game or even heard of it, this game is going to be a hard-sell considering it is literally a relic from a quarter of a century ago. But if you have played this game or heard of it, this game is literally a FUNCTIONING relic from a quarter century ago!! This game was never bad, and it still isn't even with 25 years of development to compare it to now. If you're on the fence, buy it. You will not be disappointed.

This game is rather awesome. I was skeptical when it first came out becuase it appeared to be "just another shooter" with an adventure feel. But due to decent reviews and the fact that it was featured in a Steam Flash Sale, I decided to purchase it. I have already put nearly 30 hours (27 as I type this), and I have less than 10 of the story missions complete. I have less than a quarter of the map discovered. I have literally been playing this game completing TONS of side tasks and random adventuring along with hunting and overthrowing enemy camps but yet I have hardly scratched the surface. This game has EVERYTHING any gamer could want. Don't like shoot-em-up games with an annoying fast pace? Equip and customize the bow to your liking and use stealth to defeat your enemies! A fan of huge explosions and action-packed gun blasting? Equip one of the "big boy" guns like the flamethrower or RPG and roll up on your enemies' front door in a (relatively) military grade vehicle! There is also all of the room in between. This game may be an "FPS" by definiton, but through practice, it is much closer to a FPRPG... with guns. The story is incredibly enthralling. The gameplay is absolutely phenomenal. The graphics (unmodded) are drop-dead gorgeous. Plus, there are plenty of things to keep you busy as you play the game YOUR way. This game is a 10/10. My only complaint? I haven't figured out how to land a hang glider without taking considerable damage. :)
