I am astonished that the many options that made previous games so interesting to replay over and over again are missing. Customizations are severely limited, not to mention the leader personalities. I haven't done a head count as of yet, but it feels as though there are less options than what we usually see.

I'm intrigued by the new system of buildings and wonders, and while wonders seem lackluster compared to earlier games, it might also be an interesting change to the game, considering that missing out has less of an impact. Possibly, anyway.

My play time is limited so far, but as others mentions, the UI makes for a less than satisfying experience. I sincerely hope it'll be fixed soon.

My first experience with this franchise was Civilization 1 and it has come a long way since then. I hope I won't regret shelling out for this game only to return to yet another play through of Civ 6. In the current state, I wouldn't recommend buying it, but hopefully it'll change for the better in the future. Because there's no middle ground, it'll be a negative recommendation for now.
