im very conflicted on this game. on one hand, i kinda like it and find it somewhat fun. on the other hand, i already find it annoying and tedious.
starting with the good things; the game can be pretty fun sometimes, and theres a decent amount of content, with modes that are basically like rush and conquest from battlefield - except its in medieval times. its fun to play with your friends too. theres a huge skill ceiling, so it can be rewarding to feel like youre getting better at the game.
now onto the bad. due to the huge skill ceiling, it is very difficult and tedious. theres a lot of times where the timing of your parries will be slightly off, and therefore youre forced to block, and then you get hit with a barrage of attacks, which breaks your block and then theres nothing you can do. or, you will get spammed by kicks and short range weapon attacks, which leaves you with little time to react or counter. other games, you will just be spammed by throwables - which arent hard to deal with, but are just annoying. another thing is the stamina system. its just a bit weird. you will get guys that are continually swinging a big ass hammer around like its nothing and hit you with absolute haymakers. and then theres the thing of not having a 1v1 mode that friends can play, or any kind of custom modes at all, unless you pay money to rent a server - which most people arent going to do. its just annoying. people want to test their skill and progress in the game by versing their friends, its fun, but theres no official way to do that. next is the toxic playerbase. its an unwritten rule - especially in 3v3s - that everyone should respect the 1 on 1s, and many times now ive gone in for the 1 on 1 and everyone else seems to be going for their 1 on 1 too, but then i randomly start getting smacked in the back of the head by some loser with a mace, or they start throwing knives at you mid fight. its just disrespectful and toxic, and then they have the audacity to tbag you and taunt you like theyre doing something. last is the poor matchmaking. more often than not, you will be pit against level 100-1000s, even when youre only level 20 or lower and have less than 10hrs total playtime. for example; im level 11 and ive already faced far more level 100-1000s than i have people in my own level range.

this makes it so that new players are more likely to form bad opinions on the game because their experience will just be them getting dogged on by high levels - which offers no real experience for them to gradually learn their way up through the mechanics of the game to actually get good at it and compete with the high levels.

you could very easily chalk the negatives of my review up to just being genuine skill issues, but thats not the problem. the most pressing issue is the matchmaking for me. yes the other things like kick spammers are annoying, but if the matchmaking was fixed, it would offer a far more enjoyable experience for players to gradually learn the game rather than throwing them in the deep end with the sharks. for that reason, i gotta give the game a negative review. however, i will keep playing and may update it as i go on.

[EDIT]: after just a few more hours of playing the game again, ive enjoyed it slightly more. however, all the issues i mentioned still stand and do still bug me. despite this, i enjoy the game and will change the recommendation to positive. it is indeed satisfying to start getting good at the game and beat the high levels that the game clearly wants to put you against. so, all i can say is to just be weary of how tedious and non-beginner friendly the game can be sometimes.

pretty solid extraction shooter. its definitely not as in depth as other extraction shooters like tarkov, arena breakout, or delta force, but it does the job well and suits both casual and competitive audiences. the community is friendly and happy. the gunplay, movement and mechanics all feel buttery smooth and cohesive, and theres plenty of systems in place that ACTUALLY WORK. its another banger from embark, those guys are wizards i swear.

this game is super atmospheric and eerie. i unfortunately already know the story and plot - however, the game still does really well at building a world of mystery. the fog is a HUGE feature - im serious. not only it is symbolic, but it makes you as the player often confused of where you are, and it severely adds to the atmosphere. speaking of symbolism; as someone who already knows the plot, im spotting subtle symbolism and metaphors everywhere, and when i do it gives me goosebumps. another thing that gives me goosebumps is the atmosphere of the game itself. it does a good job at making you feel uncertain and unsafe in the foggy streets of silent hill, and those ambient screech music notes that play in the background while you steadily explore is chilling af. lastly, the sound design and graphics are amazing - and its on ue5 and runs buttery smooth even at max graphics.
genuinely a great game and im probably not even quarter way through it yet.

edit: im playing it again rn and its genuinely so unnerving. im in the woodside apartments and im lost trying to figure my way around to the 3rd floor, and i keep hearing breathing, creaks, and all kinds of noises and its giving me goosebumps so bad. it feels like somethings always watching you, or that theres going to be a jumpscare at any moment genuinely the most 'scared' ive been while playing a horror game in ages. such a well made horror game.

insanely good horror game - an absolute cult classic. ive played this game so many times (on playstation and epic games), and im still enjoying it every time. the graphics are still decent - but its the visual design and level design carry the graphics. the antagonists are scary, the story is great, the gameplay is fun and intense. overall a 10/10 game. if you havent played this game already by now, play it.

got this just for the point shop items and achievements, but its lowkey a decent and fairly challenging game. its like geometry dash in a way. for £1.49 and everything else that comes with it, its alright.

pretty fun, very weird. at first i got this just for the jake skin in dbd but i thought i may aswell play it for a bit.
it reminds me of random niche games id play back in the day.
the first ending i got was the good huntress ending - definitely the best and easiest ending.
theres alot of easter eggs and different endings to play for, maybe some day ill finish the game and get all of them.

a cool little game with good mechanics and pretty challenging puzzles

works well and launches on startup seamlessly. there’s plenty of community crosshairs to pick from and edit to ur own standards, just a neat app
