I've been playing with two friends *disclaimer* - Keys were given to us.
But yeah, i've actually really enjoyed this game.
I've never really played an Orcs Must Die game before - I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

It's a unique game for me and my friends, i think the game runs really quite well (besides the odd set of lag every lil round).
Ling the rogelite kinda thing.

If you're reading this review you've seen the game and have put some thought into similar games like it.
Take the base knowledge of those games and throw everything else out of the window.

While this is a colony builder, it's also a story generator. As someone who makes content on the game, it allows me to make endless amounts of scenarios, from a cannibalistic tribe to a world spanning empire. This game has so much customisation, don't like an event happening? disable it. Want people to explode when they die? do it.

You really can do anything you want with this game. and with someone with nearly 2k hours in it, i have yet to get bored of it. If you don't like your colony? Start a new one.

Has an excellent modding scene, with any mod you can think of. Even NSFW ones. I wont link to them here but they're easily found over on the sub reddit.

I love this game, and if i had to pick one game to play for the rest of my life, this would be a contender for the top. It's a wonderful game, where there are mods on here the size of dlc expansions.

While an expensive investment, i think it's wonderful. And the DLC's are not neccissairy, and you'll find yourself turning them off for certain runs. But they are all incredible.
