Games such as these are about making the best decisions based on the available information. The game is fun if you can forgive its faults, here are a couple that recently bothered me to the point where i dont want to play the game anymore.

I was grooming an 18 year old wonderkid to be the next champion. When he was 20 he decided to retire. His morale was at 100%, his chemistry with his mechanic was at 100%, there was no hint that he was thinking of retiring, in fact he'd just signed a new three year contract. Pretty inexplicable that he'd retire.

Now race strategy is important. The best strategy is to get your tire wear and fuel usuage to be as similar as possible so when you come in to the pits you can change them at the same time. Now when you go into practice you pick which tires you want to gain knowlege of them for the race for a performance boost, however you have no idea of the amount of fuel capacity you'll have for the race as the game doesnt tell you, so its pretty much a guess which tires to pick.
