The old-school graphics and CRT-screen effects sell the visuals of this game perfectly. The analog retro-future technology of space travel clashing with cassette tapes and CRT monitors is such an interesting aesthetic that we don't see a lot of. For that fact alone, this game is unique and worth the price. The story is compelling (and completely schizophrenic in all the best psychological-horror ways), the art style is charming, and there are cute android girls. Everything about this game is peak.

The best and most in-depth CRPG out there. Combat is turn based or real-time with pause, I prefer turn based for the traditional Pathfinder experience. Definitely an extremely steep learning curve, with in depth mechanics the game rewards you for mastering and punishes you for failing to take advantage of. Difficulty is fully customizable to suit your level of Pathfinder knowledge and how masochistic you are.

Still has some bugs, and a bit of railroading at times (what can you expect, they can't have totally free choice in a closed system), but a great experience you can sink your teeth into.

Get in, mine the resources, get out. Nothing could be simpler... or at least that's what management wants you to think. If you enjoy working for exploitative mega-corporations in a hellish and hostile work environment that tries to kill you at every turn, this game is for you.

Honestly the best co-op game I've probably ever played, in terms of replay-ability with friends. On the high difficulties, no two missions are the same. Can be a fun game to play casually while relaxing, or crank the difficulty for a more challenging experience depending on your mood.

Created a demon girl harem and all I had to do was solve some puzzles. 10/10.

Been spending so much time playing classic Halo multiplayer and campaign games that I forgot to do my homework and am now failing my classes.

For the cool low price of free, Destiny 2 is hard to beat. Expect to do a lot of grinding and repeating missions in order to get more powerful gear, because after a certain point it becomes a bit of a slog through the higher Light levels. The inclusion of the first two DLCs for free is definitely a nice bonus, and you can enjoy free "season" rewards as level-up bonuses, though purchasing a season pass can give you more value as you level up. You can pay money for stuff like cosmetics, some of which is not available to free players, and the new DLCs cost money, but the game can still be enjoyed without making any purchases.

Story is much better than in Destiny 1, and it seems like the new DLCs further improve upon it. Gunplay is fun and engaging, with a decent mix of challenging enemies in the higher difficulty strikes and raids. Plenty of variety in the game content, with about a half dozen or more places to explore as you play. Leveling is done through mostly your "light," a statistical average of the strength of your armour and weapons, though there is an XP leveling aspect as well.

Overall, as a free triple-A game, this is definitely something I would recommend people try.

After over a thousand hours in this game, I can definitely say this is a game worth trying out. Play solo against zombies, or with friends on PvP or PvE servers, or try your hand at the "Arena" mode to sharpen your PvP skills in a battle royale style elimination setting. Simple graphics and straightforward mechanics make this game fairly easy to pick up once you get the hang of it. Player-created buildings and vehicles are completely destructible, which is a big of a mixed bag. On one hand, it makes PVP fun, but don't expect your base with all your items to last very long on a public server. Developer used to release weekly updates, but has shifted his focus to the next version of Unturned, so don't expect much in the way of new features or bug fixes going forward.

There's a "premium upgrade" available to unlock additional cosmetic options and features, but I can confirm it's the best four dollars I never spent, as it's totally not necessary and I never picked it up.

Overall 10/10 game, would drink glue and get high again.

Early Access Review
An incredibly solid and well put together game for anyone who likes logistics and design challenges. The game challenges you to constantly build and create in order to expand your factory and create more advanced machines through researched technology. You need to constantly look for more resources to keep your factory alive, and come up with your own solutions to problems as they appear. Your little factory will grow and become a huge mess, but that's part of the fun.

The native monsters don't like your factory and will try to attack, but base defense is usually a secondary component to augment the main goals, so if you're looking for an action game or some kind of shooter, this isn't that game. If you like automating your factories to produce ever greater quantities of materials to expand your factory and conduct tech research, in an infinite loop, then this will definitely tickle your fancy. For those so inclined there is even some rudimentary circuit logic you can create, making basic computer systems and even infinitely expanding factories with construction robots. You can play alone or with friends (which can be a ton of fun if everybody can get along and not grief!), and build basically whatever you like, from the smallest production line to the biggest industrial manufacturing hub you can dream up.

Personally, I like to play with friends, but when I'm by myself I find the game plays best in short bursts. You load in, fix a problem and expand your factory, maybe get inspired to make that new iron refinery you were thinking about, and then log out again. It's a very easy game to play for any length of time, from 15 minute break sessions to multi-hour marathons.

The game sprites are all extremely well-drawn and the game mechanics are solid. The devs provide constant progress updates and fairly frequent updates and patches, implementing new ideas on a regular basis. Some fairly new additions (at the time of writing) include nuclear power and updated ore sprites, among other things. The world generation tools are highly customizable, allowing you to play any setting you like. Don't want to fight monsters? Turn on peaceful. Don't like building new mines? Turn up the ore richness. And that's just a couple of examples of what you can do.

One problem I can see with the game is that it's not always intuitive. That is to say, the tutorial system to explain things is very rudimentary (at the time of writing, though it is something the devs are working on) and somewhat incomplete, making some features and concepts somewhat difficult to pick up for the beginner. But overall, it's a fairly easy game to get the hang of once you've played for a couple of hours, and it's not a huge thing to get hung up on.

Overall I solidly recommend this game, if you're creatively inclined and/or enjoy problem solving you will almost certainly have a good time. Hell, even if you don't like those things you'll probably still have a good time. The devs have clearly put a lot of time into making the game really good, and they deserve your support. Unfortunately though, as far as I'm aware, the game has never gone on sale. It is also still in Early Access, though it generally avoids the pitfalls so common of the type.
