Day 1 devs forgot to remove option for players to set themselves as admin. People cheated. Instead of banning those that abused they wiped all official servers. 100k twitch viewers for ASA and less than 200 servers on release!!!! 70x200=1400. Congrats 1400 ppl can play out of THOUSANDS. Total failure from the dev team once again. Over hyped, under marketed, but mostly a LIE.
UPDATE 3-17-24:
Scorched Earth was supposed to initially launch with the game.... 5 months later still only have one map. The game is in a better place performance wise and stability wise but content is poor and dev support is again, poor.

Only thing I dislike is that when my male character does something the NPCs reply with they/them pronouns. I'm not some SJW LGBTQ feller and I request to be treated as a man. Thank u

DO NOT BUY!!! Studio Wildcard announced they'll be ending support of Ark & ending official servers in August. Hoping nobody will continue to purchase this game knowing this. Ark Survival Ascended will release in August and will be serve was a remaster and alternative to Ark2 which releases Q4 of 2024. ASA will be $50 and include the island map + serves as a preorder for Ark2. If you want the DLC maps be prepared to buy them all over again for $40. I cant say enough negative things about Snail Games. The Studio Wildcard guys seem like a good group but their overlords are making them out to be the biggest laughing stock in the Gaming Scene.

Not usually one for Battle Royale type games, but very blown away with this game! Never played a brand new early access game that didn't totally make me feel underwhelmed. You have performance issues to boot, but the game just released to early access, I'm sure it'll improve with time. Very fun game, however I wish there were more character creation options.

Great concept, horribly delivered.
