This is everything I want in a game. The problem is that it is entirely TOO SHORT. It seems to have some replayability, but it should be much much longer.

High Marks on this incredibly well created game. I am not a fan of pixel graphics, BUT, this game is so good it makes you forget the pixels.

Early Access Review
I'd recommend this to players who have unlimited time, like you are too young to have a job. I have played for ten hours at this point. I enjoy the crafting, building, hunting, etc. My problem with the game is the PERMA-DEATH. I know, I know, you're gonna say there is no perma-death in this game. NOT SO. I summoned the first Boss after 10 hours of gameplay. (You would think that would be enough.) I was not ready and I died. No problem. So.. I went back and got my stuff, then I ran home. This thing followed me all the way there and killed me AGAIN. NOW, he is spawn camping my house and kills me every time I open the game. THAT'S PERMA-DEATH. I might play it again If I thought I could progress without having to spend another 10 to 20 hours to make a second attempt. To me, the game is broken, and not worth the effort.
EDIT: I was able to use Cloud saves to hack the game. I set the world mode to just after I died in my house. I set my character to before I died. I doubled what I had, AND the Boss gut stuck in a wall, or ran out of stamina, and I beat him down with no problems. I guess i will keep playing and see how I can beat the game with exploits.

This seems like it could be a really great game, but I just can't recommend it, because it falls into a category that I have seen all too often. The game does not scroll out far enough. When I play an RPG, I never zoom in on the characters. I want to see the surrounding map, see possible places to fight, find loot, interact, etc. I don't want to scroll all over the place and guess, and I'm not interested in staring at the character's butt. I'm not trying to see the whole map, I just want to see what would be a normal range of sight, and this game does not provide that. I'm constantly guessing where I'm at and what direction I'm travelling. Every time I play the game I find myself constantly rolling back the mouse scroll wheel, only to find that I can't get far enough out to see what is going on. I'm still in fort joy and have been attacked a number of times by enemies that are not on the visible map. That just doesn't work for me.
