This game would be great if the GM had a minimum tolerance for fun and enjoyment, things that are nonexistent in the current state of the game.

This could be fixed, listening to the community’s feedback, instead of nerfing to the ground our weapons and buffing enemies to an unbearable extreme. But the sad reality is that it won’t be fixed, the GM seems to enjoy that players struggle, which to a point I agree to, the game SHOULD be hard at hard difficulties, but not a chore/torture and an incredibly frustrating experience of imbalanced weapons and enemies.

But the current review bombing, the community’s outcry for AH to do better is going to be ignored, AH has A LOT of broken promises on their track record, and another lot of “we’re such friends with the community” moments while the community was backstabbed. What happened to the promised Sony/Review Bomb Cape? (Which was a sad attempt at soothing the community while HD2 was/is still removed from countries that Sony deemed “unworthy”, btw how is that even legal?, you sell a live service game and a couple months in you remove the possibility of playing said game with no refunds at all???). What happened to the new faction (Iluminate)? What about the vehicles?

So… The community is PISSED, player numbers are bleeding non-stop and there’s no sign of it stopping, and Arrow Head does absolutely nothing, no new faction, no vehicles, no new weapons to push back on the buffed enemies and worst of it all AH keeps nerfing not only weapons but also FX (as with the flamethrower) and providing game breaking/buggy patches along with them.

Helldivers 2 had the potential to be a game loved by its community (which at some point was incredibly loyal, I feel that’s not the case anymore) and looked fondly in retrospective. But no, the awesome game that was Helldivers 2 for some months has been broken by its own maker, all in the name of nonsense.

The only thing in store for Helldivers 2 is its death by lack of playerbase. I feel it might be way to late to win the community back, it’s sad, since I loved the game, but it’s now a hot (lackluster, unbalanced and boring) mess.

This situation is just sad.
