This game has a really interesting mix of Soulslikes and God of War mechanics, which kinda makes it feel familiar and original at the same time. The combat is fast paced, really smooth and fast, with a lot of real pretty animations. I played only a couple of hours, but at first it seems not as unforgiving as Souls games, maybe it changes later, we'll see. But its already obvious its a boss rush game, with a lot of varied enemies with many different looks and movesets.

The graphic style seems pretty original, and gives it a pretty distinctive feel. It feels pretty fresh and imaginative, a real breath of fresh air in the fantasy genre filled with armored knights with longswords.

One thing I didn't like is that the game is hard to navigate, there are often times when you are not sure if the particular area is traversable or not, often enountering invisible walls.

Also it has quite hefty requirements, I have a decent PC, nothing luxurious but pretty good, and playing on high settings, and 2k res gives me about 30 - 40 fps. But the game is a looker, so it's worth the resources.

Overall I like it a bunch, and I'll be playing it quite a lot more.

This is a very good expansion for Elden Ring. All the necessary components are there - the bosses are challenging, the exploration is a lot of fun, the environments look great. There are some performance issues, especially if there are a lot of particle effects on screen, but they weren't that bad, at least in my case.

If you enjoy the challenge of From Software games, but at the same time you're NOT a tryhard who thinks that when you summon, use magic or any other support items, you "dIDn'T bEaT tHe gAmE", than this DLC should be your cup of tea. If you're one of those guys, who thinks the only legit way to play is by running around naked with a wooden club, than by all means skip this one, instead of crying over the Internet how you can't beat each and every boss by jump hitting. Also, if you're just starting with FromSoft games, maybe give this one a pass for now, because it WILL kick your ass. Otherwise if you're just a regular player with some experience I wholeheartedly recommend it, I'm having a blast.

I quite enjoy the historical city building genre, which lately seems to become popular again. From what I played of the prologue, this game seems pretty chill, but addictive, and has a lot of potential. I really like the unusual setting, as there are not that many games set in the Aztec period. Will keep an eye on the full release of this one.

I love ancient Greece, so seeing games set in this period always sparks my interest. This one seems pretty cool. A bit on the simple side, but I found it relaxing and the cities look pretty good so I'm having fun. Will be happy to check out the full release when its out.

I really want to like this game. It has a lot of good things going for it. It looks great, the atmosphere is there, the exploration is challenging, the plot seems interesting. But it's, at least in my opinion, unplayable, especially on higher difficulties, thanks to an attrocious save system.

I decided to play on Ranger Hardcore, which is the highest difficulty. The ammo and resources are very scarce, the game forces you to sneak a lot, to constantly look around searching for resources, and you die from 1 - 2 shots. All of this is fine, that's what I wanted. The problem is I am not able to save the game manually, and have to rely on autosave. This would also be fine, if the autosave system worked well, but it rarely saves, and forces you to lose sometimes 15 - 20 minutes of progress.

Imagine this: you are exploring the wilderness, your ammo is near depletion, so you slowly sneak around, trying to avoid monsters, searching every nook and cranny for any resources. You are slow and careful, completely immersed in the atmosphere. You take your time and you manage to gather some ammo, find a new gun attachement, and sneak past some wild beasts. Because you were forced to progress slowly it took you about 10 - 15 minutes. Than you enter a boat and some huge monster eats you. You reload, and you are forced to go through the exact same thing again, and pick up everything once more. You don't feel immersed anymore. You don't feel any tension. You only feel frustrated that you just wasted your time.

What's funny I'm not even sure why the manual save isn't working. I can see the quicksave controls in the options, but they do nothing. Maybe it's just turned off at higher difficulties, but I don't know as the difficulty descriptions did not mention this at all. And even if it's so, I don't understand why can't I get the challenging gameplay with the option to save whenever I like?

I considered lowering the difficulty, to see if it will allow manual saving, but the game introduction is about 2 hours long, full of unskipable in-engine cutscenes where the characters are spewing exposition, so I'd have to go through it again, and I just don't feel like it.

What grinds my gears the most is that it is an "enhanced" edition. You'd think they had enough time to fix this stuff, but no. Instead I can have raytracing. Whoop-de-doo.

I wanted to buy this game at launch, but I didn't because of the Epic Store debacle. So I bought it on sale a few years later. That's fortunate, at least I didn't lose as much money.

It seems to be a nice game, a bit similiar to Minecraft but focused on city building. Kind of an interesting and original mix of the two genres. And its quite relaxing. Will probably check the full thing when I get the chance.

I am actually astounded that I didn't like this game. I usually like narrative driven stuff, don't mind a slow pace, and I enjoy exploration and this game has a lot of good reviews, but to me it's just wasn't that great.

First of all the story starts painfully slow. Not much happens at the beginning and you're just sent from one spot to another doing boring stuff. I don't mind taking my time, if the game at least hints at some kind of mystery or plot element that can keep me intrigued until the story picks up pace, but here it takes quite a long while for the story to even emerge. Until that time you're interest hangs only on the backstory and dialogue between two main characters, which is - to be fair - decently written and very well acted, but didn't really make me invested for a long while in the beginning.

After some time, when the story actually takes over, the game starts getting good. There are different threads to the plot, and it all starts to get pretty mysterious. Sadly this does not last long, as, whithout getting into spoilers, all those threads end up not leading to anything actually interesting. All this potentially cool build-up leads to a very dissapointing conclusion. The main plot twist is really surprisingly stupid, considering pretty decent overall writing, so my guess is it was done purposfully.

Not long after the plot twist the game kinda... just ends. There is no satisfying conclusion to the characters, no interesting result, no one seemed to learn anything, no one ended up better, or worse, and not that much has basically changed, as the game just kinda faded away to the credits.

A lot of people seem to really like the ending as well as the whole game. I read opinions praising it as brave, daring to go against the players expectations and so on. And maybe it is, but what does this bravery result in? What unexpected lesson have we learned? What brave statement did it actually make? I just don't get the artistic intent behind it. In the end I just kinda felt everyone's time was wasted - mine, as well as the characters.

While there were some things in the game that I liked, like voice acting, dialogues, environment design, the overall feeling I was left with was negative, and so I will give it a negative score. I would probably reconsider if the game had a lower rating, but it's doing so good, that it probably won't do any harm, and I just wanted to share my opinion.
