An awesome puzzle game that masters minimalist design!

With just a few mechanics, it delivers hours of cleverness and challenge. The difficulty curve is spot-on: when stuck, you can always "gain an insight" from a simpler version of the level. And it's not just great puzzles: twists, loops, and links between levels make the game feel tight, unique, and brilliantly designed.

This is THE game of my childhood, and you ruined it! Do you know why the cursor in the menu is a fork? It's because there used to be a chicken flying into the screen from time to time that you could poke with the fork! AND YOU REMOVED THAT CHICKEN!?

Anyway, the game is still great, so don't believe the other negative reviews.

I didn't want to leave a review before I had gotten the last achievement. Now that I have, I realise that there isn't much to say - it's just a great continuation of the first two, with the obvious advantage of having infinite levels to play. You do still get the first "main" 36 that are wonderfully made, but then you have randomly generated ones and ones, made by the community - both great additions.

While the first game was obviously a hexagonal minesweeper, this one felt more like sudoku to me. It's much more difficult in comparison (it took me 11 hours to beat even though it has the same amount of levels), but it's such a relaxing game that even when I was absolutely stumped at what to do, I kept on searching for a number that I had missed. I liked the music in the first one much more but other than that, it's a great continuation in every way.

I love Minesweeper so this spinoff seems as if it's made just for me.

There are no random levels like in the original Minesweeper and the number of levels is limited (I beat it in less than 2 hours) but that also maens all the levels are designed in such a way that you can solve them logically: If you've played Minesweeper, you know how frustrating it can be to make mistakes based on chance. Well, here chance is an option that you don't need to take - not even once.

Also, the music and sound effects are a great touch. I'll be sure to play the next two games soon.

I could say why this mod is Amazing By describing its gameplay, soundtrack, characters, visuals, story and price...
...but let's keep it short:
This is the best mod I've played since Black Mesa! If you're a Portal fan, You'll love it! Play it!

The only big problem with the mod is the voice acting of the personality core that guides you through the awesome tests. I would recommend to turn your sound off, but you'll miss out to hear the amazing soundtrack. It, allong with the impressive visual design, make an awesome testing atmosphere.

The half of the reviewers say the tests are too easy, the other half says that they are rediculusly hard, which means it perfectly stays in the middle. IMO there were some maps in which you only had to gel-fly through and some awesome tests which I didn't know how to solve for 5 to 10 minutes. Minor issues are the not very reallistic-looking gun and the not very logical story.

The maps which are recycled from portal 2 create a cool nostalgic feeling. All custom models (excluding the gun) look very nice and the new gel-spraying mechanic make the gameplay unique.

Yes, it costs money, but it's worth it. Don't wait even for a moment if it's on sale and buy it.

The only people who write negative reviews about this are those, who don't know what they're buying and are expecting to get something playable.

The final hours isn't a game, but I totally recommend it to all Portal, Half life and overal VALVe fans.

You learn how Portal and Portal 2 are made, what was kept, what was cut and what to expect from VALVe in the future.

Thumbs Up!
