Very good remake of the classic. I only miss Django Reinhardt and some tiny details in the art and script, that conveyed better the italian culture or the relation between characters. Also, it's strange but I do miss Bertone Missions beign optional intead of just gone.

Still, it's the best Mafia of the modern trilogy. Very linear, but enjoyable. You can still use manual transmission, cars physics are amazing, the shootings satisfying enough and the enviroments amazing. Definitely recommend. I just wish other remakes were like this one.

It used to be the definitive PvP extraction shooter.

The setting was special, interesting and the feel and tone matched the gameplay. You could see that the team had a clear vision on what they wanted to portray. No loose ends, no strange aesthetic choices, intense and meaningful shootings, no useless mechanics...

I mean... 5 years ago you had a cohesive UI with punching sound fx and visuals, good enough performance and some side looting to do, and a dark, misterious and inmmersive experience and lots of cursed player characters.

Nowadays, you get the literal Ghostface from Scream chasing you. In 1896. In a shooter. In a weird west setting, about black magic and diabolic forces. You get to have a f****** shooting with the villain of a classic pop slasher movie that is mostly a meme today. And it is supposed to be a suspenseful, frightening, intense shooting.

WTF? Why? No wonder why steam charts is showing no player increase, but the opposite.

At the end, it turned out ok.

Toplitz has released quite a few EA that are, for now, very lacking in all aspects; but this developer in particular got the job done. The game barely gets to be good enough, but it's better than the other dinasty games that Toplitz has published. It's a bit rough, but not as much as it used to be on EA (which exited a tad too early). Warning, the "dinasty" part of this survival/manangement gets a bit cringy sometimes.

Best bought on a good discount.

Tried this game on free weekend.

I love my hardcore games. But this game made me realize that I like them because of all the little stuff you have to take into account to be sucessful. Sometimes is just a matter of looking at the circumstances, and choose the right tool.

Well, all that is not in this game.

The difficulty is there just so you don't finish the limited number of levels on one go, and have more playtime. Just like old games back in the 90's. Otherwise, don't be fooled for the tacticool looking guys, good graphics and style. It gets old after 3h.

I like the labyrinth mechanic that makes you keep an eye on the signals on the wall, I loved for a while the command prompter, I felt a terrible sensation the first 20-30 enemies stealth killed but... after a while, it just a contradiction between stealth and horde shooter.

Let me explain:

Spend 1 hour going full stealth, avoiding enemies or cleaning up the room; just to get to a door that will force you to trigger an alarm in order to finish the level. Then shoot a horde while moving around a series of points (because someone thought that security means analyzed users have to move around a room while authenticating). So basically is like when your boss ask you for a task, and when you finish it, they just throw it to the rubbish bin just because it wasn't necessary after all.

What about progression? Well, some games don't need it. But this game has this game loop where is so repetitive, that it just feels like a chore. Finish a level after 1h and "here, have some pants as a reward" (if you don't die much because you're lucky if there is a checkpoint for the whole level).

Also, when you finish your task, before extraction, for some reason the delerict sectors realize there are intruders and triggers an alarm. Doesn't matter that it is abandoned or that there was a couple of shootings, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ general alarm will trigger at the end of the level just so extraction is "exciting" after you clean up every enemy on your way. If you die, you lose you 1-2h of game and have to do all that sh1t without anything new to keep things interesting.

So... looks good but it is really boring. Also, is not hardcore; is just illogically unfair so you get more game time.

Reminds me a lot of MS-DOS games. Stupid, fun and sometimes difficult. It is a bit rpg, bit managerial, and inmmersive altogether.

No kidding, Over 1M of races to customize your world and let the imagination run free with this text based game.

TL;DR-> It is ok if you didn't expect to replace the mods completely with the dlc or if you only want to have a huge map to play in. Other than that, I recommend to wait for more content. Seems that weapon models are the same or based on the IFA3 ones but with better animations & textures.

Best & biggest WWII terrain out there. We were kinda missing a WWII map this size for long, despite it beign located again in Normandy... again hedgerow warfare... But hey, new buildings are very good, and overall the map is quite detailed.

But then, comes the content. Again quite lacking. I hope the devs follow the GM dlc and add somemore content. For now, it's just the same old IFA AIO USA - Wehrmatch content, with a few uniforms more here and there. All assets though, are great quality and I would use them over the IFA/FOW ones.

There are quite few assets, that I would thought were basic, missing. Where is the Willis Jeep? and The Kubelwagen? Where are some other light armored vehicles other than 250 halftrack? Puma, 232... Idk. Planes, same, 1 per faction (Fw190 and P-47). I like some additions, like the 57mm M1 ATG, but I do really miss some stuff included in the mods.

And the modules. I still have to check how the AI modules work, but it seems quite cool. The weapon collision on obstacle proximity works nice. There are not manyambien modules as SOG Prairy Fire but its ok. I would have like the devs to publish along some templates for retexturing but they might eventually.

Overall...I'm still sticking to the mods, although whenever possible, I will definitely replacing mod stuff with dlc assets. Normandy again boring, but will use the map, it's huge.

EDIT:
---------------------
Is it just me or the M1 Garand is literally the same 3D from IFA3 but retextured? OMG don't know if I should not recommend the dlc now...

EDIT 2:
----------------
Yep... same with the grease gun, although it has some improved geometry, IFA3 model seems to have been used as base. I wonder if they've done the same for every weapon?

Short, but nice classic point & click adventure with a little of narrative branching.

Meh. Fallout lore is very remotely present. Actually enemies look more like aliens.

And looks terrible. Seems that vegetation does not render great on this engine. Some materials glow even in the night, and it's not because of the radiation. If fallout 4 default textures were blurry, this ones look like drawn with a sponge.

Shooting aspect is more or less like fallout 4. Not bad, not great. But you can feel a bit of lag between the shot hitting, the enemy dying or the bullet impact decal. Not terrible, but makes everything less satisfying. And it losses connection randomly.

You have to pay for playing in private worlds, custom worlds, and inventory space is very limited. Increasing strength does not do much. The skill system is replaced by cards that you can upgrade. It's actually OK, but not what expected from a Fallout game. And of course throws away all the RPG aspects that remained.

The story really feels like they had to do a 180º turn to make everything right. You follow trails and trails of holo messages, letters and computers, and where you feel it was supposed to be empty, there is some random settler living. Or a character from another mission arc. It's like a mash made from lots of different ideas.

It's just that. Bland, buggy, looks ugly... It's not a bad time, but it is not good either. Would definitely not pay for this. It is on the low end of mediocrity.
