If you told me John R. Dilworth died and the writing for this game was hidden away in some rotting notebook in a dusty box of pictures of his parents, I would believe you.

At dawn of the second season, I was initially drawn in by a joke exploiting how much of a coomer I am, the game has well made thigh squish on the very first armor set, with it's own normals on the skin and everything. And it's damn well made.

What kept me in was the building system, for all it's worth, it's the coolest part of the game to be able to set up territories and build decent custom bases for others to see.

Unfortunately, the list of problems is long.
- Rootkit level anti-cheat wasting your PC resources along with the usual insecurities
- The writing is cheap, as you'd expect from the class of game it is, an MMO. There is very little consistency to the theme or time period of the world, vehicles, architecture, anthropology, pretty much everything is scattered and random. If anything, the only unifying aspect of the game is how much it tries to copy Death Stranding.
- The games UI, dialogue, spoken lines, signage, and everything else around is absolutely littered with typos and mistranslations.
- Many of the assets in this game are completely unedited AI, even the things you can place around your house to "pretty" it up, and I constantly question the value of the game when they dare to host a million paid cosmetic markets alongside it, as they look horrible. When paired with the writing point at the top, the entire game really feels like a few decent systems in an otherwise AI asset "flip" game.
- The world is insulting underutilized, a handful of quests had me going back and forth between a few specific locations and I hadn't even explored a solid 60% of the map before going on to further areas that I seemingly wouldn't return from.
- The combat is some of the worst feeling I've played, it has sluggishness to it that resembles an inferior copy of Kojima's recently known games, paired with general latency issues and weirdly unfair enemy attacks sometimes that kill you before you even realize you were taking damage. In general, you only realize you took any damage after you're already dead.
- The season system and general timed rewards for everything creates an intense sense of FOMO, which shouldn't be a selling point to keep players in. You will lose most of your work and progress every few weeks, while there's a handful of methods to "save" stuff like your builds, you have no sense of permanence to the work you put in.

I have some more less obnoxious gripes, and can appreciate some random stuff like how much the game seems designed to allow you to "show off" to others, but these almost overwhelm any positives, as the main gameplay loop is terribly boring and lacks any depth.

I promise you have a better use of your time.

Daring for it's time, and easily stands the test of it with NPC AI and combat mechanics that makes a joke out of even modern day games.
