Got: all of the above, hilarious writing, incredible thematic meditations on the ethics of military games, responsibility, anxiety, and friendship. cried at the end.

MISLEADING BUDDY PASS SYSTEM

Bought this game assuming that the Buddy Pass would allow me to play with any of my Steam friends. Am now told by Bethesda Customer Support that quote:

'once the buddy pass has been used on one person it is not possible to use the buddy pass on another person'

This was not communicated ANYWHERE on the store page, the Bethesda website, their marketing, or in the game itself. There were no error messages, confirmation screens, or dialogue boxes to tell me of such.

Will be refunding the game as this is NOT how I understood the buddy pass system to work. I bought the game assuming I could play with my friends, but apparently this is not the case.

Extremely disappointed by this lack of communication by Bethesda

Combat: chunky, thinky, very involved, scalable up or down depending on how challenging you want it to be. requires thinking and positioning rather than random ammo spam. 10/10

random ass horrible hidden switch puzzles: 0/10

actually well executed jumping sections but sometimes include a puzzle and then you spend 10 pace-destroying minutes trying to figure out why you cannot just grab the bar: 1/10

overall rating 9.5/10 still one of the best action games ever made.

Funny, beautiful, and one hell of a challenge. Excellent.
