Recommending this game at this point is like telling people to try breathing—it’s already legendary and everyone’s played it. But hey, just in case you missed the memo: it’s amazing.

I bought this game because I played Northgard and enjoyed it. This game is slower and more complicated than Northgard. It has tons of different mechanics, everything is another resource that you have to manage, money, spice, water, manpower, influence, authority... too many resources for my limited attention. It's too complicated to know what each building and technology advancement might do, and the tutorials were not enough. Combat is more limited than Dune 2 and that's a good thing.

I enjoy playing Potion Craft. The game is very simple: every new day, you wake up, pick the herbs, and then serve the customers that come to your shop. The story is emergent, driven by the customers and your book of quests. The game's complexity increases slowly, and there's great community support in the wiki and subreddit. You can find the answer to any question you ask with a simple Google search. The game is indeed a grind. There's no difference between the days and no limit to the number of days you play. But I enjoy the grind. The brewing mechanic itself is ingenious. I love it a lot. I think the game is ripe for an upgrade or a sequel and I hope it will come soon.

I love these types of games and I love the emphasis on working the land, growing food and cash crops, and trade.

It's still very buggy. Wait until they fix it before you waste money on it. I've played with Cattie-Brie, and when I shoot at monsters, they just stand there and let me shoot them.

I like the need to think about the battles and the ability to win against difficult odds with the right tactic

I like this game because of how you build your home around you. In the beginning I got stuck because it wasn't clear to me how to create a home, but once I understood that, I had tons of fun. I love exploring the world around the dwarves and creating ways for them to walk.
