I ADORE this game. Look, I didn't even know the game was a thing until a month before it released, so I didn't have a chance for the hype to ruin the game. Instead, I got an amazing, super immersive experience. I loved the music, the stories, and the gritty realism. If your computer can handle it, you should play it.

***EDITTING RIGHT AFTER FULL RELEASE!!***

I received this game from a friend. Over the past week, we've played it for at least 20 hours together, and I play alone. The game is simple, but still incredibly engaging. The music is amazingly relaxing as well. All the time, one of us will yell "Oh what is that?!" while exploring, which is always fun. Seriously we are in love. Sinbce my first review, it's only gotten better by utilizing little things that they hadn't to begin with like wreckage and plantlife. They've updated the menus and done more as far as character customization. The worlds are all different and stunning. It has a playful aesthetic that I adore.

My biggest complaints are that it's poorly optimized (We have to restart the game after a few hours of playing to stop the lag) and that the controls are a bit weird. A few other reviews said they were console based controls, which is too bad. However, there's some fixes if you look in the settings. ~~The last complaint, though I'm not sure how it could be fixed, is if you are playing in multiplayer, you have to take off ALL of your items in your backpack and place them on storage of some kind or it will despawn with your body. Easy fix for now is just making sure you put everything on a storage.~~ Fixed! Last issue that is the weirdest issue is that whenever someone enters a vehicle of any kind (buggy, tractor, shuttle, or shelter - basically anything with a seat) it saves the game. On solo it isn't an issue but with multiplayer, it lags the game HORRIBLY and crashes it occasionally. I hope they turn this into a setting. or find another way to force the game to save.

So, my TLDR:

PROS:
Simple, yet engaging
Great Soundtrack
Lots to explore and investigate
Devs seem to be active in creating content for this game

Cons:
Poorly Optimized (It still is)
Weird controls
Game saves every time someone enters a vehicle, slowing game down for host
Vehicles lag game like a mofo

I mean...it is what is says. You water your plants. You take out the weeds. You sing to plants. That's it. It's GREAT for me when I have an anxiety attack or something, but otherwise it's kinda meh, to be honest.

I do have a complaint (maybe two? They're related.) With the seedlings for your succulents, you only get one a week. Otherwise, you have to pay anywhere between .19 cents and .39 cents for new ones. The free ones, in my experience, are only the .19 cent ones as well. All the little microtransactions are annoying. With that, if you're like me and play a game maybe once a week, your plants can easily die and you'd have to start with one seedling. Pretty boring and aggrivating. I wish there was a way to pause the growth or something, that way you don't have to start all over every time you forget about this game.

Overall: I'd suggest for maybe a casual gamer who enjoys games like facebook games or someone with horrible anxiety. Otherwise, it's really a meh game to be honest.

Early Access Review
I LOVE this game. I don't play shooters very often, and I don't play any sort of horror either, but Interstellar Marines is perfect. I do NOT have the Spearhead Edition, only the normal game (I'm debating getting the Spearhead Edition. Not 100% yet)

I normally play the Nuerogen Incident part of the game, pretty much the story mode of the game. It really freaks me out, because the sound is pretty great and the atmosphere is freaky. There's no music, which I am A-OK with in this instance. You slowly make your way through this place and discover what's going on, and it becomes harder and harder as you go along.

I've played the deathmatch games, and there was one where you have to work together to kill all of the robots. It's really hard, but I enjoy it.

Keep in mind when purchasing this game (Because you REALLLLY should) that it is still in Beta. There are bugs. There are things they want to add. It isn't finished. However, for a Beta, these guys are doing a great job! Graphics are great and they have a clear story. They have alot of realistic standards (with the exhaustion and breathing, they even added the breath on the HUD which is cool) that just add to the atmosphere of the game.

PROS:
Atmosphere
Story
Realism in a fiction setting
Music (when there is some)

CONS:
Updates are coming slower than they have been
Major bugs (may have been fixed since the review was written)
Issues connecting/finding servers
Unable to make own servers to play with friends

OVERALL:
Great game, definitely worth the $19!!
