There's a lot going for this game, but I can't recommend because the meat of the game is boring and shallow grinding through battles. Some sparse narrative and character dialogue albeit nicely written just seems mindless. I felt like a mindless zombie clicking through a lot of things.

Wow! Really love the visuals, the settings, and the map. I didn't it have it on max/Can it run Crysis? setting, but I was about there and it was nice. That's about all that is going for this game. Gun play. music, and voice acting are meh. The story, combat, and AI are terrible.

A fun aquatic-themed survive, explore, craft, and build game. Looking forward to the sequel and hopefully co-op.

In case you haven't heard of this relatively unknown indie title called Skyrim, then I recommend playing it now. Top marks in everything.

Just completed my first play through on medium. I've squealed and screamed and sometimes was shaken out of my seat because the game has so many tense and scary moments. For a game about a decade old, Alien Isolation looks phenomenal. Everything else does a fantastic job of pulling you and making you feel the terror. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested.

Late 30s gamer finally got around to playing Half Life in 2024. That was definitely a fun and enjoyable experience. I love narrative FPS, and this is GOAT OG. I needed to use a walk through on certain parts and often quick save and quick load which I don't think is a negative, but I can imagine the frustration of gamers in the late 90s and early 00s who first played and were unaware of guides online. I'm impressed by the folks who have mastered this game and can beat this game quickly and without dying. Looking forward to playing Half Life 3.

Finally got around to playing through the main campaign as of December 2023. Probably going to be my only play through, and I'm not even going to bother with the DLC. If you're aren't familiar with the Far Cry series, then summarily it's a choose your own playstyle first person shooter/stealth game. None of the mechanics are very deep, but what's there is fun and great for a mindless gaming session. The theme of FC5 is religious zealots in rural North America.

If you are familiar with the Far Cry series, then it is mostly the same. I noticed less towers to climb to reveal the map and less reliance on hunting animals for skins to improve equipment or skills.

I give the game an 8 out of 10, and if it is on good sale, then go for it. As for the DLC, none of it seems appealing, so I think I'm ready to move on to another game before I tryout New Dawn and FC6.

Purchased this game on November 22, 2023. I've been looking forward to playing this game since release. Just realized it released in August 2022, and I wish I didn't wait so long. However, it is perfect for playing on my new OLED Steam Deck.

Only 2.5 hours in, and I'm loving the game play. The complexity and mix of game mechanics and customization is done right - sim/town management, character building RPG elements, and action/adventure game play. So far, nothing seems shallow or useless. It is all fun though these individual styles are types of games I am a big fan of. Also, the game has a tongue-in-cheek cuteness juxtaposed with sinister demonic and satanic themes. I could say this is loosely like retro classic Actraiser meets Newgrounds flash classic Happy Tree Friends - these references date me. Looking forward to playing more of Cult of the Lamb.

Heard a lot of good things about this game. I purchased this on November 22, 2023 and played it on my new OLED Steam Deck.

@5.5 hours total play. I've had some enjoyable short gaming sessions, 1.5 hours last night, and a few hours this morning. This game is good. Like the way equipment is made available, the rate of increasing difficulty, and the luck of getting a good combination of items or finding a useful chest. The list of characters and levels, so far provides slight variations of playstyles. The music, graphics, and level and environment design are very well done. This game is a steal at its price.

Good idle game. How long it last depends on how involved you want to be. I found myself alternating between casual and going days without checking to actively checking throughout the day. I suspect if I was an active player, probably could complete the game in a week or two.
