Very cute and creative hidden object game based on shifting the size of objects between small-medium-large, and using them to solve puzzles. Secret turtles to find in every level, and even more secrets to find once you've completed all the main levels.

Really great game with fun characters, neat abilities, and lots of knockback. Each level also has optional challenges to add some variety and a reason to replay previous stages.

Short game, awful puzzles, bland story, no personality. Very middle-of-the-road.

This game turned out to be much better than I expected. The voice acting in particular keeps everything very engaging, making you care for the characters while they trudge through hell with an inventory of increasingly disturbing puzzle-solving items. Fans of movies like 'Event Horizon' and 'Alien', games like 'SOMA' and 'Disco Elysium', or themes of body horror and twisted sci-fi, should all give this a try.

Buy this.

This is more or less a visual novel, with gameplay consisting of looking at things and talking to people. And fortunately the things, people, and dialogue are all extremely well done. In particular, the rapport between the two titular bird cops is perfect and often laugh-out-loud hilarious. Marty is the eager, personable, and gun-happy supercop while Sonny is your traditional grumpy noir protagonist complete with Bogart impersonation, alcohol addiction, broken marriage, and crippling male stubbornness.

There are a few mini-games to add some variety, but I found the Questioning and Investigation ones to be unintuitive. If I'm questioning someone that the game tells me is "scared", does that mean I should be reassuring or that I should be amplifying their fears to break them? The Investigation is meant to be like creating a 'conspiracy board' to get your ducks in a row, but really fails to be interesting and is more of a guessing game. However, you can repeat Questioning as many times as you wish, and Investigation has no negative outcomes, so they aren't really a hindrance to solving the mystery.

This game is very cute, especially with the accessories you can equip your Ooblets with. But ultimately, getting more Ooblets comes down to engaging in dance battles, which are repetitive and not particularly strategic. I had no desire to "catch 'em all", knowing how many dance battles I'd have to endure.

Also, the last area you visit as part of the main quest is obnoxious, requiring you to go back and forth on a long mountain path, and then return to Badgetown, repeating this for each NPC on your way to the top in an increasingly-long trek. Lampshading the ridiculousness with dialogue doesn't make it any less frustrating.

While not as good as "The Room", this game is the next best thing. Much better than "House of Da Vinci". The puzzles could certainly use more work, however the concept is perfect and the designs of all the artifacts are beautiful. Solving puzzles to identify and activate strange alien artifacts fits the puzzle-box genre so well, and I'm excited to see what the sequel has to offer.

As for the three unique tools the game offers you:

The Duplicator doesn't serve much use, as the puzzles that make use of it are pretty obvious.
The Endoscope is interesting and I'd like to see it again, maybe with a smoother interface.
The Universal Screwdriver is a really cool feature and needs to be in the sequel. Again, the puzzles could be more difficult, but I love the idea behind it as an indispensable tool for those working with alien technology.

This is an addictive mystery/logic game that should appeal to fans of "Papers, Please", "Return of the Obra Dinn", and "The Room", as well as those who like "Potion Craft" but want more out of it.

Absolutely amazing exploration/puzzle/coloring adventure that reminds me of early Zelda games crossed with something like Spiritfarer. The story has an emphasis on mental health and insecurities, particularly Imposter Syndrome.
